These female PLP MPs are a joke!!! What happened when Leslie Miller made the comment in regard to physically abusing women in the HOA? They laughed at it and did not stand up for women then. Why the sudden change?

I'm german and i voted no just for the amusement. I makes me laugh so hard i couldn't resist to press "no". I cannot believe the guy is so stupid to suggest something like that. Maybe he wanted to retire and leave a strong impression - i don't know.

I have a nice counter-proposal, chop off mens penis as it would also reduce the murder-rate with less testosterone on the island. Men would be more relaxed and quiet - who knows, maybe it would bring a chance to those politicians as well... You could make it a pre-requirement to become a MP - a sacrafice for your country that shows true dedication, Sorry, cannot stop laughing...

they only want him to resign because he is white, had a black man said this he would be asked to apologize and would be forgiven

Lightbourn's comments were to be condemned. As were Leslie Miller's comments about beating women. As have been the comments of prominent pastors who believe a man should have the right to rape his wife any time he sees fit. As has been the commentary by prominent members of society during the referendum debacles which said women, just by virtue of being women, are brainless and have no ability to think and reason for themselves. This society is shamelessly misogynistic and many of our women are painfully self-loathing. They believe they are inferior to a man. It is ingrained in our heavily religious culture. And it is a leading reason behind the comfort public officials have with making these kinds of statements about and against women.

Wrong words, wrong venue, wrong motive. So is he a servant of the people or is he their judge?
