Maybe the Bahamian people are not as ignorant as all get-out. . .their "swing" detector is working just fine. I had a professor in college who said that we needed to develop our "crap detectors" in order to be first rate philosophy students. One student said that he attended a symposium where a professor presented a lecture where because it was so deep. . .nobody could intellectually comprehend its core concepts!!

My professor retorted: " maybe the presenter had no idea of what he was presenting. . .that's why nobody could grasp his concepts!! Therefore he could not sensibly answer questions given to him! So maybe it was not fear, ignorance and religion that blocked the referendum. . .but rather convoluted reasoning like presented by Ikalik. . .polemic and baseless. . .condescending at best! The apparent assumption is that "if yinna don't think like I am. . .yall is a bunch of dummies and can't see reason"! I found more poor reasoning and nasty attitudes among the yes campaigners than were among the no persons!
