ON the night of Tuesday, October 5, 1943, a pilot from the RAF named Hastie calmly pointed the sizeable B-25 Mitchell bomber towards the dark outline of South Eleuthera, just above Lighthouse Point. FIVE days away from competition and the final roster cuts have been made for our women’s national team set to compete at the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) Tournament in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The CBC Tournament for women is scheduled for July 8-12, just after the men complete their competition on Saturday, July 5.
