The fact that he said this will not be a cash hand out in the statement, makes it appear to be exactly what he says it is not. We hear you Prime Minister Napoleon Christie...

Good point, imagine an officer who harassed a young man coming back in the future to give the same young man positive advice. It don't even have to be the same officer... And I know for a fact that police sometimes harass young men, whether they did something wrong or not... A Church leader or successful older person, or just an older wiser person as far as the community outreach part would be better than a gun totin officer...

Do they even consult the Prime Minister or each other before making these bold statements? When you make a statement like that and you represent a party it appears that this is the belief of the Entire party. What does Minister Mitchell have to say about this? Since it is his ministry...

You aint gotta wait that long it will be ready by June of 2016, states the article...which is preeeetty close to '17. Which kind of makes sense..... this group that are already in 10th 11th and 12th grade wouldn't be able to properly prepare for whatever criteria will be made for the diploma and if they plan to change the BGCSE. So the current 7th and 8th graders will be the one's to see it first. Hopefully the BGED will be available sooner. It is good to see someone with a yellow necktie talking about issues and showing his vision and not complaining about the past . Now all we need are details.

A better education system would help with so many problems. The whole fact that you wouldn't be able to get a diploma nor a Leaving Certificate and had to repeat 12th grade would make students work harder to pass so they are not embarrassed.

I do agree that the Bahamas need to be even more visible though not just tourism, individuals for their achievements in athletics, music, art, acting, science, technology, writing etc. There is SOOOO much talent in the Bahamas. After watching Junkanoo a person asked me how are there so many people that know how to play musical instruments in one place. And that is not even to mention the designers, choreographers, composers etc....
