the notion that politicians are 'giving the Bahamas away' is the definition of pandering. But to understand why Bahamians have to comprehend the nature of our more than half-a-century FDI economic strategy. Selling Crown real estate cheaply as a concession is not the problem, it's the process and WHO gets it that's the issue. But even then, Bahamians are against private land owners selling to non-Bahamians as they are taking over... Whatever that means.
Whatever, while I believe Fred should be challenged in his constituency, I do not see any purpose to this pandering. Where is your policy and advocacy on issues? Oh that's right this is the Bahamas, we don't care about policy. Better bring the rum and T-shirts buddy otherwise you won't win. Unless somehow that stupid mindset of selling a vote for alcohol and $20 has changed, which I doubt.
Unions are the worst things to happen to this country in the last 10 years. From the BUT to the TUC they are ineffective and counter productive. What people need is for more industrial agreements without bullshit unreasonable demands. Water and sludge's union is just as retarded as the one that got involved with Sandals and the one that failed so hard at Ocean Club. Union execs and lawyers cash out every month on the backs of their members, whose jobs and interests should be #1.
Just like Wilson and the previous execs in the BUT, buncha tief'n crooks
The playing field is level and all sides seem to be atrocious choices. Christie is a like being shot in the head with a 12 gauge, Loretta shot herself in the head with a 12gauge, Bran is a bottle of aristocrat and a shotgun (who knows what'll happen), Greg Moss is the equivalent of the Republican tea party ultra right wing nut job, Minnis is a vile of poison that takes a while to kill you... There may be a cure but idk
Each of our choices seem equally as terrible. But that's only my opinion, from the looks of it the PLP may see another 5 years with a super majority.
