Something else to think about - something else to muddy the waters... Did I hear no taxes for webshop owners till the end of the year? But VAT still set for July. Something wrong with this whole picture! And someone who committed manslaughter & has served his sentences is not fit to be a headmaster but a convicted preacher can start his own church. Beginning to think we're living in La-la land instead of Bahamaland!!
Sorry - I should have re-read the article first - I see they do have a licence for various services which they have not started to use yet- interesting - wonder why that is?!
Did I hear Commissioner Greenslade on TV News last evening saying that "he was not bothered by crimes in Freeport"? That the police there would take care of it! Perhaps he should be bothered - this is going all over the world!
Did anyone here live through the 80s &90s with Batelco providing our landline service? If the phone went out - which it did on many occasions - specially if we had rain... it could & often did, stay off for months! You could make as many calls as you liked for service - all to no avail. Many old folks were left in their homes with no way to communicate with their families. NO such thing as cellphones in those days. And if you had family on the islands or way overseas you almost needed a bank loan to pay your telephone bills when they arrived. Batelco was no means perfect at all!

Wasn't there a lot of talk awhile back that Government had already done a deal with Digicel? It would have been quite a while back I know!
