Not smart enough to avoid falling victim to an obvious pyramid scheme, but qualified to be a member of parliament? I can't wait for him to be elected, I have some magic beans to sell him.
Unlike the Exuma situation, this was a legitimate accident. This ferry has been running for decades and was built professionally. The Four Cs boat was built in a backyard by unqualified people, exploded due to their lack of knowledge and negligence, but yet somehow they weren't held accountable.
BTC wasn't an asset, it was a liability. Obscenely overstaffed, poorly maintained infrastructure, and a non-viable business model. People love to talk about the "glory days" of BaTelCo, but forget about the fact that everyday people couldn't afford Internet access, and we were paying $1/minute to call the US. Meanwhile everywhere else in the world long distance service was costing consumers pennies, and they could get broadband for under $100/month.
Ditching that albatross and introducing competition was the greatest thing anyone has ever done for this country.
Yeah! The govt should buy it! It'll be a raging success, just like when they owned the Nassau Beach Hotel, and BaTelCo, and BEC, and Bahamasair. All are great examples of how efficient something can be run, and how we can offer great, high quality products to consumers.
I was just at Goodman's Bay, and observed Goldwynn employees getting in their cars and driving off. Since Goldwynn is using public parking for their employees, next time I go to Goodman's Bay to use the beach, I'm just going to park in front of their gate. They've set a precedent that it is perfectly ok to do so.
Isn't Goodman's Bay still full of their employee's cars? How can they get permission to build something that will require *more* parking, when they are already overflowing?
How is this even remotely controversial? Pay your bills, or get your service disconnected and late fees applied to your balance. This standard operating procedure for any business anywhere in the world.
