Now we know where the VAT money went. Can you imagine if Kellys, CBS, or Tropical Shipping closed for a week, and then shut down an entire street and wine and dine hundreds of people upon their re-opening. Their accountants would be furious. Despite how boneheaded and unnecessary expense is, it is somehow ok for the govt to do it with our money.
From what I understand, these outages were due to power outages. At my house, I've spent 10x more without power than I have without Cable TV, Internet, or cell phone service. Why isn't BEC having their feet held to the fire? You can't blame BTC/Aliv for these outages any more than you can blame Aquapure for not delivering water when the road to your street is blocked off.
So the people who build the substandard structure, cutting corners and ignoring our building code, are going to now be trusted to also perform the remediation and repair work?
That is the stupidest thing I've heard aside from this country continuing to court Crypto businesses.
We've never had a political party in power who even knew how to spell austerity. The amount of money wasted on pomp and circumstance, travel budgets as if the leaders of our tiny nation are actual world leaders, massive overstaffing across the board within any government entity.
