The collection of derelict vehicles should not be the duty of a MP. All vehicles sold in the Bahamas should have an environmental levy tax charged on them. That should pay for their disposal.

The reason for the importation of so many vehicles on this small is the lack of a reliable, safe public transportation system. There is a tremendous public policy failures in this country. The rabid supporters of both the PLP and the FNM don't understand that.

There were no stray dogs roaming the streets in the US city, my sister lives in. That was one of the first things I noticed when I first went there. I am so use to seeing dogs roaming the streets in some parts of New Providence.

She explain to me there was a very effective animal control unit in that city and suburbs. She also told me the various f penalties and fines for allowing your animals to stray. She said that is big no- no there.

The Bahamas is decades behind that city, county and state in animal welfare. Bahamians need to travel and be expose to how far behind this country is in various things.

@ Tal. You know exactly how things go in this country. Mr. Johnson is the son of a late PLP/FNM politician. People in the know here ,know the circumstances of his departure from his last place of employment in the Bahamas.

Dr.Minnis does this all the time.He makes grand pronouncements and policy decisions to the media .This is done without his clear cut understanding of the policy decisions and consulting his colleagues. He is simply horrible as prime minister. He is giving Mr. Christie a run for his money.

This columnist like so many bahamians don't understand governance, political systems and management. A relative of mine was also told that by an african american in the United States.

The PLP used the giving of jobs in the civil service and public corporations for two reasons.
1. It was an inducement or reward for voting and supporting them.
2. It was used as form of social welfare . Give a person a job to support them and their family.

This economy has for years not produce the jobs or the income to support a large amount of persons. Bahamians will do what they laugh and throw jeers at other caribbean people do, migrate. Already a lot of persons who go off to school don't return home when they graduate. An academic has stated that the Bahamas has moved from a country of immigration to a country of migration.

The acting financial secretary is simply out of his depth. You can't take nothing he says ,at face value. Kwasi is simply incompetent. This is one of Dr.Minnis's bad decisions coming to light.

The project being done by Tyler Technologies was started under Simon Wilson. When the FNM came into power, all these projects were terminated. They claimed these projects were not needed.

After their poorly thought vat tax increase, they realized these projects make sense. That is why they were restarted. The Revenue Enhancement Unit, Click to Clear Project and the Tyler Technologies project were cancelled and now restarted.. Mr.Johnson will now attempt to take credit with these projects. Mr.Hartnell will continue to write whatever lies Mr.Johnson feeds him. Like someone said to me who is in the know, I lay the blame for a lot of mess squarely on Dr .Minnis shoulders. He does not listen to sound advice.

An election year budget. A mix of keynesian economic theory and supply side economics.

FNM supporters are saying how good this budget is. Yet they can't say, explain or know how this increased debt will be serviced.

The Bahamas had to apply for this waiver. The Bahamas due to its's high GDP was ineligible for World Bank 's loans from the 1980's. This should have been known by the media.

The media houses in the Bahamas by in large do an extremely poor job in informing the bahamian people of the circumstances of life in this country. In fact, a late politician said that. Compared to the media in Jamaica, Bardados and Trinidad, the media here is way behind.
