Votes have been brought and sold in the Bahamas long before the PLP. There are people today quite willing to sell their vote.

Enforcement of traffic laws in the Bahamas is sporadic. It is not an ongoing feature of policing here in the Bahamas in my opinion. Coupled with the amount of persons driving without proper insurance and licensing ,this is a major problem. When I visited my sister in the US,the police in the city made enforcement of traffic laws a major plank of their policing.Drunk driving, not wearing a seatbelt and not having a child in a restraint seat were major no's,no's with them.

The money to pay the public service their bonus came from a hurricane loan. The money is what was left of the 150 million dollars borrowed by the Christie government after hurricane Matthew. The Christie government had spent some 108 million of the loan before leaving office.Peter Turnquest at one time said in Parliament the remainder was used by the PLP to campaign with.I wanted to take Christie and Company to Rawson Square to flog them. But that was not so.The rest of the money was right there sitting in an account. The FNM cabinet decided to take the remainder of the loan and pay the public servants a christmas bonus. So everybody happy now.The citizens and residents of the Bahamas will have to pay this back in taxes. It is a loan after all.

The media here just write down what ever the politicians say.Ask where this money miraculously appeared to pay the civil servants? In August, there was no money to pay this bonus. Now this payment in December.

This is what happens when things are done for political expediency. That promotion exercise before the 2017 general election made no sense at all. There was a report prepared by some UK consultants in the nineties which addressed the police force. That report was done when Frank Watson was Minister of National Security. If the PLP governments had followed that report,we would not be in this mess today.

I am confused.I thought it was about 20 to 30 dollars per month for this charge. Now it may be a percentage of around 15% of your electricity bill.Wow.I hope this works out.

Hurricane Matthew which side swipe New Providence in 2016 should have been a wake up call.It took BPL eleven days to restore electricity to my house People living on this island have short memories and choose to be blissfully ignorant. The Bahamas needs to evolve to a federal country on the basis of like Canada.Allow each island group to be self-governing with a high level of autonomy. But there will be strong opposition to this by political class, business community and average bahamian on the island of New Providence.

You don't know what you are talking about. The system is not not working how it was intended. You are just an idiot.Johnson is also incompetent.A big time FNM supporter told me that bluntly about him.

This joker giving this interview is the same person who disbanded the revenue enhancement unit..Every thing he says, you take with a grain of salt. As talkative as he is,he still won't answer those questions about the vat hike asked by a former senior FNM cabinet minister.
