I just wrote what some one told me,they saw on their cruise this year.Solar water heaters and panels were first installed on buildings from 1974 in Barbados.Bahamians who visited Barbados in the seventies saw that. The Bahamas is at least thirty odd years behind Barbados in this regard.

BONEFISH says...

The Bahamas won't meet that goal in 2030. Somebody I know, went on an eastern Caribbean cruise this year. The person said almost every building in down town St.Kitts and St. Maarten had solar panels on them. The person said those countries have taken the use of solar power seriously.

The FS when this occurred was John Rolle, now Central Bank Governor.Neither the Tribune or the Punch will attempt to interview him.Somebody said to me today, the Punch meant to say that Wilson was FS when transaction occurred. The Punch is running a smear campaign against him on behalf of certain FNMs. There is also a reason why the Guardian is not covering this story.

The country needs to have a FOIA. Also the country needs real investigative journalism.I find it strange the next major paper here locally has not carried this story.

This is how this country works. This project was started under the previous FS Wilson. It was stopped by the incoming FNM cabinet. Then somebody had explain to Johnson and Turnquest what this project was about. They had to go back and rehire the firm, they let go.They will now go around and take the credit for a project, they had nothing to do with..The news media here in the Bahamas will carry their version of their success with this project. The journalists here in the Bahamas don't do much and don't know much.Somebody said to me last year this,Johnson and Turnquest are dumb and don't listen to advice.

Going to have the same problem as the PLP government. The effects of hurricanes on the government's fiscal position.Ignored by the Pro-FNM media and websites during the election campaign. But the current prime minister made mention of it in his speech to the UN.

A very conservative view. Not backed by any analysis. They missed all their revenue targets before hurricane Dorian hit.

Minister Lloyd to me is one of the major disappointments in this FNM government. As a talk host,he appeared to know all the answers A FNM supporter made this comment on social media, Fitzgerald was a better minister of education. He had ideas and vision for education. He also strangely for a PLP politician, took advice from the technocrats in the Ministry.

Bahamians only vote and complain. That is the extent of their involvement in this democracy. A white bahamian told me,bahamians vote based on emotions. They can't look at and compare the proposed policies of the parties and vote based on that. There is also quite a race and class politics in the Bahamas. There is also a large percentage of voters who are both poorly educated and not exposed to life beyond New Providence. The niece of a former FNM leader said that.

BONEFISH says...

Both daily papers have their biases. Unknown to this writer, the Guardian generally supports the FNM..Some of their editors are anti-Minnis. That is something a lot of Bahamians don't understand.People who support the FNM yet are anti-Minnis..The same with the PLP..I know somebody who is a supporter of the PLP yet is very much ant-Davis and Mitchell.
