The whole taxi racket has been going on for decades. Taxis only want to service the tourists going to hotels because they can rape them with exorbitant fees. You walk up or call any taxi as a local and ask them to drive you from South Beach to Fox Hill and they will tell you to carry your A$$. The side hustle 'uber' shared ride thing is and has been going for YEARS precisely because of that. So here we go...numbers houses 2.0...let's regulate the unregulated 'taxis' because the regulated taxis are so damn corrupt no one can go anywhere.
While it may not be ‘Uber’ rides and ride sharing is roaring in this country, the amount of unregulated ‘taxi’ services and hackers is out of control. One of these days govt will realise that the old taxi plate regime has been dead and surpassed for years. That number of limo services and ‘private hire’ type vehicles roaming about this country on private vehicle plates is insane.
Police power trippin’ and putting citizens lives at risk unnecessarily. The amount of damage and chaos they cause when they do that crap is unreal. What doesn’t get reported is how many vehicles are damaged on an almost daily basis when they do this foolishness…just doesn’t get reported as they’re are no injuries.
Yeah, man...just pop up a shack and start selling...don't have to worry about building codes, safety regulations, heck, you could probably duck business license and VAT until you take up half the block.
