Obie still being stupid about the 7 day work week that you only work 5 days of but still wanting 7 days of vacation pay for that same 5 days of work. So I get paid $200 a week and work Monday to Friday...when I take a week off of work my employer doesn't pay me the 200, in Obie's world, they pay me for 7 days...so 280 for my vacation week. Oh...but wait!! your 'weekend' doesn't count towards your vacation time, so technically you get the 5 days off out of the week you typically work, and an extra 2 days the following work week to give you your 7 days of 'work' off.
almost afraid to say someone is talking some sense...I know that type of comment will come back to bite me in the arse when they do something even more idiotic in short order.
Now...the second side to that accounting is that since the contractor paid JBR 75c worth of VAT, and charged you 90c worth of VAT...what the contractor turns into and pays the government is 15c...he gets a credit for the 75c he paid early to apply against what he had to charge you.
That's the rub though...I think because he is physically buying the materials in their company name, and selling you a final product...the building...they will be charging VAT for their material that goes into the house. So let's say the contractor goes to JBR and buys some plywood for $10.00...it's cost plus VAT will be $10.75...let's say he upcharges you and charges you $12.00 for acquiring that plywood for you, he needs to charge you $12.90
Brent would be an excellent PM...but alas, he needs a serious tan and some curly hair to qualify...this country is too backwards and racists to elect another white PM, even if it is the best choice.
I do understand the 'logic' of sorts of the fuel upcharge...but not in this context...because you all failed in maintaining the generators and were forced to run other generators...you eat that, not me. If I am meant to be supplying something to someone on a regular quoted price, and for whatever reason I run out and have to express something in at higher expense to me to meet your demand...sorry, I pay the added expense for my stupidity and oversight, not my customer.

There will be VAT on the materials as well. But hopefully they could be reclaiming some of that from the VAT input from the seller.
