My condolences go out to the man's family and friends...just to put a spin on it...the whole debate a week or two ago about the guy disappearing during a shark dive...oh gee...this guy has a heart attack while diving...guess that doesn't count as quite as impressive or wow as a 'suspected' shark attack. More people die diving and being in and around the water from other causes that a 1 off random shark attack...just saying.
Just too funny...and scary at the same time...you just can't make this stuff up. You are writing legislation to try to legalize an illegal industry...and now you are going to have to write the law in such a way that you do not prohibit one of the main playa's because they have a criminal history. Unreal.
every step of the process, from shipping, to duty to inland freight, to other fees in clearing...all teh facilities that are used for that...they all pay the extra on their BEC and BTC...that all is added into the profit margin...big ol snowball!!
My big problem is this...he is advocating for people to pay what they owe on the current month...and extend what they are in arrears for over the next 6 months. It is obvious that they cannot handle what they are in arrears for, but you extend them none the less. Next month, the debt still increases. Flip it to a private enterprise mentality, if you are over and have money owing, plain and simple, you have no power. I can ALMOST gauranetee that Florida Power and Light and other entities don't pull any punches for 'political favours'...
Oh...but wait...we will go ahead and NOT enforce VAT on webshops...so you have something that is good for your health and populace in keeping a healthy population and you beat it over the head...you have an addiction and underground illegal enterprise that you are going to let slide. Pure brilliance!!
What the government...even with birdie's extra dose of kool-aid, fail to think about is that a good portion of the private sector pay for, or subsidize private health care for their staff, or have a 'group' policy which is way more affordable than a stand alone policy for any one individual. That health insurance is NOT cheap. If it gets any more expensive, some companies will likely just drop the private health care option altogether for their line staff, just won't be financially feasible...so yes, their staff will be thrown at the mercy of the public health system. You have people willing to pay to stay OUT of the public health system and it's log jam of patients...so now you are going to penalize that?
I have ZERO confidence in the man to start with so definitely not confident about what he says he is confident about...unless I want to say I am confident in him screwing things up...
Yeap...instead of doing the right thing and reacting as they should, they are going to run around behind the scenes and try to figure out how they can sugar coat and deflect things.
