When it comes to kids that is one thing...but if you are an able bodied adult, and have the opportunity to work and refuse to because that position is beneath you and your so called pay grade, no, no sympathy or handouts for you. Do you think the people who are hired as day labourers sweeping and raking up the leaves like that job, or the pay they are getting, no. But it is money in the pocket at the end of the day. Other menial jobs like that, are not extremely labour intensive, but they must be done. Swallow your pride and get yourself out there, be productive to the betterment of the community, instead of a drain on the social welfare.
They are trying to destroy the country simultaneously from every angle. Crime is out of control and that Tourism goose is about to get hung out to dry. We will crank up the taxes and business licenses and operating costs of our next major sector...banking...so much so that they go away as well. Won't be long now before we are left with a couple abandoned 1,000+ room hotels and mega resorts, a defunct government run bank, and a few hole in the wall type retail stores to cater to all the gun slinging gang/drug lords.
It does not surprise me coming from the Grove...that little police station is about as useless as they get. He didn't 'escape'...he was conveniently let go.
Whoop there it is!! Back to the plantation with you Tal, you need to learn some broughtupsy!! Back to work!! Sadly, I am not a huge fan of 'handouts' There are obviously some people out there that are in serious enough need to warrant it, but it gets abused by some people who spoil it for those truly in need. The entitlement I despise is that you would rather NOT work and get no money and expect handouts, because you feel a certain job is beneath you. That's when I start getting annoyed.
That is very true...there are many sides to the story, some say 3, my version, your version and the truth. A 4am venture up to a man's hotel room, does not bode well for our little 17 year old though. Only the 2 of them truly know what transpired in that room.
...obviously not parenting...heck...the parents are probably out at a bar, or copulating and procreating more morally corrupt children. Don't get me wrong, I despise the concept of rape, I think the perps should be hung up by their balls, or at the very least have them chopped off, but you are 17, you were out clubbing, it's 4am, did he DRAG you up to his room and attack you??, my sympathy starts to waiver ever so slightly slightly for the victim when the circumstances surrounding the lead up to the attack come in to play. Still think the guy should be strung up in this instance, but by the sounds of it, this 'minor', was not so innocent herself. 100% wrong on the guys part, but again, I have more sympathy for the unsuspecting lady, or person, doesn't have to be a lady, that is jumped out of the blue, than someone who may have lead another person on with their actions. In the end though, no means no, and wrong is wrong, they guy needs his balls cut off.
100% agree there...if we are not going to pay our existing taxes...when you add more taxes, the stupid law abiding citizen like myself will do their duty and pay the new tax, while the same dodgy buggers out there will circumvent it...again. Either get the dodgers to pay, or expect a revolt from the honest citizens who are bearing that burden. And silly me, who pays all my taxes...and will pay the new taxes, has to pass those increases onto you all in the form of increased margins to cover my new expenses. Then what happens...all those people who are dodging the taxes, accuse me of hiking up prices and gouging the public. SMT!! Kiss my grits...I am going to join the ranks of corrupted and use my business prowess to figure out how best to deceive and dodge those taxes.
Now...on the one hand, I am all for reforming yourself. I don't think this is so much a witch hunt against Mr.s Sands, more of a slap in the face of a failed system of vetting staff and ensuring the safety of our children in public schools. He may be the nicest guy on the planet now in his reformed state, but someone convicted of murder should not even be getting considered to be heading up a public school...I'm not even comfortable with the concept of him being a line teacher of a classroom, let alone a principal. There are lots of other jobs out there, he doesn't need to be responsible for the guidance of our children. Now...by all means, let him come in and maybe lecture, or do a seminar, maybe discussing what he has done, the punishment he had to endure as a result of his actions, become a spokesperson of sorts of what NOT to do, branch that into anger management, etc...but no, you are not going to be a full blown principal. Sorry, that's just my view.
To stab or shoot someone is one thing (obviously BAD), to go through the process of killing the person and burning them, that takes it to another completely twisted level.
