To forgive is one thing, but what is the right thing to do is another. Should this man be the head of a school...NO...even being a standard teacher is questionable. Now, on the other hand, I have zero problem with said person being a motivational speaker of sorts, one that goes to schools and discusses openly what they have done, the punishment for what they had done, and the rehabilitation and outlook moving forward in their life. I think we need more of that in this country, let the students see and hear some of the not so good stories...the stories of what can happen to you if you take the wrong path. The hardships you will put upon yourself for the remainder of your life, because of your actions...that I have no problem with and think can and should be done. Principle...head of school...someone in daily contact with the same group of kids that you are responsible for molding...emmmm...no, that's just a bit too much.
The Ministry of Education is just one big waste of space. They LOVE to say how they are 'not responsible for vetting'...we have this case where they have hired a convicted felon to head up a school, rehab'd or not, awesome person or not, I don't think a convicted felon should be running a public school...but the same again when confronted about all the holiday street vendors that set up camp at RM Bailey park every couple months, the Ministry of Education is very quick to say...it is not our responsibility for vetting out the tenants to make sure they have business licenses or have paid their necessary duties or National Insurance...we just rent them the space for a couple weeks...not our place to vet things. May as well shut that ministry down as apparently they don't do a damn thing in there...and don't get me started on the crap education they are doling out to the masses. waste of space.
I could go along with those sentiments...but I will state this right here and now, ain't no chance in hell you gonna get me banking with Bank of the Bahamas!
Oooooo...yes yes yes...Digicell does not like or recognize unions...bring it on!! Unions are the direct cause for why our screwed up utilities and industry are the way they are today...I don't know how non-government business that are burdened by the unions manage to make ends meet, they will drag you down and bankrupt you, while the workers run around with scores of days off, perks, benefits, etc, etc. Thankfully, as a private employer, we have dodged the union bullet, but treat our employees with the respect they deserve and pay them what they are owed according to the labour laws of this country. We could not operate and would have to close our doors if unions came a knocking, it's really that simple.

I love it...PM and his negotiating team manage to do something or other with a phantom 2% 'deal'...BTC in turn laughing their backsides off stick it to the government where it hurts by downsizing it's local workforce and the government is powerless to stop them, because hey, guess what...they are still a minority shareholder. HA!! Who's got the last laugh? Now...don't get me wrong here, it's bad news, BTC is the epitome of horrible service these days, I do still however think that privatizing it was a good idea and that either government is not able to use and abuse the corporation for slack employees and votes. Carry on BTC with ya bad self!! Show the government who has the bigger cajones!!
...and if I am reading it correctly they are 'finalizing' arrangements for the permanent relocation...so wait...the main Post Office is going to be relocated? I smell a rat! Any bets that the new location is a building owned by a well placed PLP stalwart? Going to be some sweet rent money for that!!
