You saying she shouldn't be poking her nose in it? I'm very curious as to why we are now having to pay more for less...29 Million MORE...plus we get 2 less boats. Must be our highly selective bargaining teams...they will find a way to 'spend' that extra 8 million for reserve costs...don't worry about that either!! Someone has a house that needs some work...or a new house they want built somewhere...

29 million extra due to dredging specifications being changed...he really does think we are idiots.

Willing to bet that Mr. Lightbourn is on that 'special list' that was discussed in another tabloid so that he doesn't have to pay his utility bills...

What gets me even more now that more info is coming out on this is that it wasn't just a bank threat...they had gone to court...the COURT sent the bailiff to repossess, he directly intervened in a court ordered legal action. Outrageous!!

Anyone speak to the bank manager? Hearing rumors head office in Toronto has recalled her...chances are high she will lose her job. Guess that is one less foreigner working in the Bahamas...job well done Mr. Christie!

Birdie you are an idiot...OK...let's change scenery a bit...President Obama has a friend in Miami who is defaulting on his loan...he goes out of his way to call the local bank manager at the Wells Fargo and say...'Good afternoon, this is the President of the United States of America...you are about to foreclose on a dear friend of mine...I would like for you to reconsider'...that carries weight...as much as an idiot that the PM is, that still carries weight. The bank manager is put on the spot and knows that if he says sorry, can't help, that his little bank will be under the nastiest of scrutinies and ridicule. Now, if the President...or the PM turned around and said...what could I pay towards his bill to keep him in his home, that is a different matter...so long as it is not coming out of the governments cash...if he does that, then he needs to do that for all those that are being foreclosed upon. When you take the title and position of Prime Minister or President or King or whatever, the rules change for what you can or cannot due, you are in a place of power and influence and abusing that is wrong.

I believe he made comments not necessarily against the law 100%, but that the law needed to be defined very carefully...either way, he was very wishy washy about coming out and saying marital rape should be against the law and people held accountable. Married or not, I'm sorry, if the gal...your wife says no, that's it. All you bible thumping freaks that think differently need to have your heads examined.

It is a shame the building was lost, in so much that is was a shame that the building was left to fall into a serious state of decay and disrepair. Credit should go out to the fire department that more houses and other structures adjacent to that building were not completely destroyed. The wind was fierce that morning and there are some VERY close buildings.

Maybe Mr. McCartney, you should help lead a delegation of sorts, take air samples of the smoke emanating from the fire and encourage residents to work up a class action lawsuit against the government. You are a lawyer, fully capable of doing so...if you are so outraged (as everyone should be), lead...take the bull by the horns and commission a test be done and encourage the legal action. Maybe then, people can see another side of you that maybe you are a viable candidate to lead and better this country. You KNOW the government is not going to do a damn thing about it, so your press releases and words are lost on them. Take a stand, get some samples, get some top environmental analysts to way in on the results, speak to the people involved...go after the government for negligence and damages.
