One big scam...they were expecting a resounding YES vote but got caught out...had to come up with a ploy....we need money to pay back our supporters since we got a NO vote...we need VAT...let's be so incredibly sketchy and forceful with VAT that when we turn around and legalize gambling anyways, you all will be happy about it because we freaked you out so bad with VAT.
Yeap...government really don't give a damn...after all, they have election campaign donors to reimburse!! You don't want to be on the wrong side of numbers bosses and loan sharks...after all, they are already conducting illegal business and money laundering...what to say they won't take it to another level. Now we will be on the radar of almost every other well developed and civilized country as all the illegal money...and known funds from money laundering suddenly become legal and bankable.

The very second the words came out of their mouths about a referendum on the topic, it was a done deal. The sad thing is, they are contradicting what the population resoundingly disagreed with. Wonder what will happen when all the major wholesalers and grocery stores shut down...hope all those small hole in the wall convenience stores can buy direct from suppliers for sufficient discounts and economies of scale to bring in massive bulks of product at the low prices we get now...would love to see each individual corner shop buying piece by piece in small batches from Florida. It works...go for it...give it a shot...even before VAT is introduced, government is killing major businesses...guess what...prices will go up even more...
Definitely a very poorly written article...as someone familiar with aviation this article even confused me...the syntax is deplorable. My only guess is that the paper restricted the writer to 10 words or less. When a plane lands properly the main gear under the wings touch first and once the plane slows down further the nose gear makes contact...at which point this pilot passed out or blacked out...the article itself is terrible.
