I stole this from another 'news' website...sorry...but just to put it in perspective...some of the countries that force their citizens and residents to move about 'unfreely' within their country include...

...and this surprises people...would be VERY curious to see the make up and outlay from this 'foundation'. Hopefully CWC controls the purse strings of the foundation and can tell the government...PLP, FNM or whoever comes next to keep their grubby paws to themselves.

Agreed...while I agree wholeheartedly with the BTC sale and privatization, I was expecting that under private ownership the service side would improve, thinking it could not get any worse than when it was under government control. Sadly, it has gotten worse. It takes months to remedy phone line issues, and once they do fix it, in another week or two it's gone again. Deplorable.

Sadly...there are segments of this population that will see this whole debacle as a victory and that PGC and da PLP are men of their words and do as they say! Laughable.

...and that's what is so very sad...they are thinking this is all it takes to sway the masses into thinking they can actually accomplish anything they promise...sit back all proud of themselves...think of all this time and effort they spent, you know the various lawyers involved in drafting up all these deals and contracts are just laughing and rolling in the cash of billable hours...wonder how much was spent on this exercise between travel expenses and legal fees....for nuttin'!!

So no control of the board, no majority ownership, no say in the day to day operations of the company...perfect...you guys did just what you promised on the Election Campaign trail yet again and delivered on your promises!! Give yourselves a raise and a bonus for a job well done...oh wait...you've done that already, I forgot.

Ahhhh yes..this is one of those stats the great commissioner was so happy to quote...all these murders solved...and all these murder accused getting acquitted and set free by the courts. Good policework gentleman.

Funny...encouraging the government to willingly break the laws of this country and violate even some of the most basic civil rights as laid out by our constitution...man...I back you 1000%...go ahead, break those laws, we don't mind...we encourage you to do so even...in fact, while you are at it, you may as well ignore any law that seems to impede your political agenda. Rock on guys!!

What they NEED to do is weed out the corruption in the police force and immigration and have them do their jobs...I have dealt with LEGAL Haitians for a while, they tell me every day that some of their friends that are not legal get stopped regularly by the police and immigration, and it is a shake down, the police and immigration will let them go it they happen to have $50 or $100 in their pocket...some even joke that it happens near the weekend when they police know the guys are getting their wages and they say the cops dem want dey beer money. Start by fixing that problem first, because National ID or not, that will still take place. and the haitians will stay and multiply.
