“She made the comment that they’re really clamping down on friends, family and lovers,” Mr D’Aguilar told Tribune Business.
“Those who have political connections and insider contacts, and are simply not paying their bill because they don’t have to. They’ve clamped down on that.”
Tribune Business understands that BPL’s ability to cut off non-paying customers with significant arrears, especially government departments, agencies and buildings, was one of the ‘sticking points’ that held up the signing of PowerSecure’s management contract.
Food Network, and I am sure other shows as well, have been littered with programming debuting what Cuba has to offer. BahaMar was on that cusp, that if they opened ahead of Cuba's opening, they may have made a decent dent in the tourist mindset...now that Cuba is opened up, that development is way way way behind the eight ball.
Agreed...the greater good was equal rights...the LGBT portion of the equation in the Bahamas is probably under 1%...so we screwed 99% of the population who could have benefited from the legislation to spite the 1%. Foolish and narrow minded.
I'm on that unfortunate list that if any of my bills go 1 day past due...water, BEC, BTC, etc, they cut me off faster than you can blink. I'll have friends who 'forget' to pay their bills for months and they never get cut off. *sigh*
Well...current and meaningful updates are at least one step in the right direction for those people who are suffering from the outages...at least you are being given information to chew on.
The findings by a truly independent surveyor would be staggering as to what sort of construction and workmanship has been done out there. You'd have to be a fool to want to pick up that ball and run with it as it is.
I'm sure the multitudes of 'No' voters are happy that those troublesome and vexing LBGT's are gone, maybe the pastors can lay claim to aiding in the opposition of the LGBT 'plans & schemes'!!
