It is inappropriate for the Minister of Foreign Affairs to be so disparaging of the Court System of our closest Neigbour, primary Trading Partner, steadfast Protector, primary Benefactor and loyal Friend upon whom we are ultimately dependent.
I get it that he is also the Chairman of a Political Party, but the only way to espouse such controversial rhetoric and avoid obvious conflict of interest in the interest of preserving our much treasured US-Bahamas international relationship is to resign his Ministerial position.
… sadly from our Country’s perspective, I sincerely doubt this will happen!
What about the various Law Suits? Kovats does not seem to be the sort of person to simply walk away from any deal, much less one for which he had such an extensive post-acquisition development plan for!?!
I have no doubt you often meant well in your heart, but true Justice more often than not requires one to not overlook and stay silent concerning wrongs perpetrated by those in economic and /or political control, but to take a stand in pursuing such conviction, often alone against whoever to distinguish and determine right from wrong … this you were regrettably unable to do on more than one occasion to the detriment of others, and this Nation, who relied on your high office … and now you must make peace with your conscience for such short comings.
Hart’s comment that Hoffer has “sour grapes”over this monstrosity of a building being paced next to his 50 year homestead is pretty insulting given that we all know Hart is a “Grease Man” who developed his trade in Exuma but perfected his craft since coming to the City… and we equally all know Bahamians love Grease whether it be on their Chicken or in their Pocket, particularly if the “Grease” is foreign, as there is more of it, and I’m afraid Ed you may be a well off Bahamian, but your Grease is limited compared to the Foreign Grease Randy has access to … and this regrettably is why your situation will soon be but another Chapter in the Tragedy known as Bahamian History … perhaps even under the sarcastic heading “Sour Grapes”
Given endangerment to life, Govt needs to be proactive after such delay and remove and seek reimbursement from Owner, failing which, simply withhold renewal of Business Licence until settled.
Other than ripping off the poor, are not the bigger Questions how has Hal (H&L) as a Non-Bahamian been permitted to so openly launder millions through a business reserved for Bahamians?!? Only in the Bananas …
