Commission of Enquiry is desperately needed, as Isfailian is merely the most high profile Victim of injustice that has been suffered by so many Others at the hands of our corrupt Court System.
For the first time perhaps in the history of our Country we finally appear to be making some effort to address poaching and now there is a debate about level of punishment. These Poachers know full well what they are doing is illegal. Unfortunately, it may already be too late to save our marine resources, which have been plundered for years to the brink of collapse..
As for the Defence Force, what exactly is it’s purpose, if not to apprehend Dominican Poachers, Drug Smugglers and Illegal Haitians and Cubans?!? Surely not to simply moor expensive military craft at Coral Harbour for the occasional Family Island Tour?!?
What a fiasco, this is becoming more and more embarrassing ... imagine if this this had been a Commercial Airline full of Tourists, we would be DONE as a Vacation Destination!
The initial inaccurate reporting on this tragedy and now this response are are both deplorable, as Civilians, however well intentioned, should not be allowed to tamper with a Crash Site, the perimeters of which should have been immediately secured, but as the Picture clearly shows, you now have actual pieces of the Plane being pulled from the seabed onto a Boat. This should never happen without proper supervision and documenting as to location of pieces of wreckage according to Survey of Crash Site, which is now rendered impossible.
This appears to be extremely poor reporting and indeed, inaccurate information of such a significant News worthy Story. As best I can gather, there was only one person on board, the Pilot himself, who successfull ditched the Aircraft, which initially floated before sinking, but first responder Divers found no sign of Pilot, who remains missing.
This is certainly a beautiful part of The Bahamas worthy of saving, but we must strike a balance between the Enviroment and Development, which includes not allowing Disney to go to another Country, as the economic benefits are simply too great, not to mention international exposure, bearing in mind first and foremost we have an ever increasing population that require jobs in order to put food on the table for their Families, otherwise they will have little choice but to resort to financial crime out of desperation, a basic fact that very few of the EPEs (Environmentally Privilged Elite) have ever had to consider, but a very “real” unfortunate consideration for most Bahamians every day.
Just another example of why “most” respected Businessmen, Bankers, Trust Officers, Accountants and Lawyers choose to have no association with the Chamber, BFSB or Bar Association because they know full well those that have infested these Groupings are merely using the same to establish and exploit credibility they do not otherwise possess to continue unethical business.
John is hitting at the “real” issue with Freeport, always has been, as the GBPA Owners have made a fortune over the years ... and continue to do so, even now as Grand Bahamians suffer. Every Investor arriving on the Island has been “shaken down” to ether Partner or risk having their business idea stolen, resulting in such Investors, assuming they still go ahead, quickly losing enthusiuasim in such unprofitable business models and the remainder simply preferring to invest elsewhere right off the bat, irrespective of all the geographic advantages Freeport possesses.
What “pipe”, that was a Swivel Cannon that was pulled out of the Sea and transported away ... along the other Artifacts?!? Just watch the Episode ... and this is the 1st Episode of a Multi-Episode Series that has already completed filming ... bit late to address now ... plus, imagine what was not filmed!
