Everything translates down from Class A, so given that there are less that 15 Class A Boats in existence and they all currently meet traditional requirements to the satisfaction of all other Owners, let those Owners form an Association that sets the Rules and appoints a 5 Man Committee to Regulate new builds and refurbishments.
Those Captains and Owners who abstained in protest should be commended for taking a stand for the Rule of Law and those who capitulated (only 3), together with the Minister should be admoiished as being repsentative of why the Country is in the mess we are in today where we no longer stand for anything, much less principle.
The epitome of how mediocrity has been allowed to rise to the top of the Legal Profession and indeed, a major contributor to the dire state of the Country today resulting from extremely poor Judicial Deciisons, just review any over the past few months for ample example of Judgments on Appeal (perhaps even "rushed" on account of pending retirement) now requiring still further redress at the Privy Council by Litigants simply in search of most basic "honest" justice, so far denied due to such Judical incompentnece, notwithstanding having already incurred literally years and years of delay at inordinate expense in pursuit of such basic Human Right, suffice it to say, Good Riddance!
With all due respect to Ragged Islanders, not too sure re-building makes such sense, particularly as most of the Natives from there had long since left even prior to the Storm, so I reckon there is little chance, if any, of them returning now.
Until you have Tida Wave, Lady Muriel, Red Stripe and Rufff Justice in the Race, this is not "The Best of the Best", indeed Running Tide is the only Boat who can even compete with this Elite Class, who together comprise the Top 5 Boats in "Class A" today.
Why "attempt" to re-write and in the process offend our History, as not much friendship, much less mutual respect was shown on 10th May, 1980 with the sinking of HMBS Flamingo.
