Izfailian and Laundry Boy need to accept they were out Lawyered, simple as that, for which they as Directors must bear responsibility for not making better Management decisions, albeit not surprising given that neither have actually built any business, but rather simply inherited existing businesses, not to mention money, which they will most likely squander in their life times to the huge embarrassment of their respective Families.

So much for the FNM .... maybe the last person leaving Headquarters on Mackey Street would be so kind as to turn the lights off!

I agree, this is all about the Owners, no one else, who sit on prime Property and have "simply" chosen to pocket their profit over the years, rather than reinvest, now they want everyone else to bear the cost of their refurbishment effort. This is a Private Sector issue and has only become a Government one due to their collective failure, which can only be truly resolved by getting the greedy "failed" Merchants of the Bay Street Era out and letting more normal Business People of the Modern Era in.

This age old catastrophe should not be viewed as a political issue, as both Parties are to blame for failing to address post Independence. Further, I would not blame Renew, as the fires are most likely being set intentionally by paid operatives with self interest in mind. However, reality is such that we are all being poisoned due to poor air quality. It follows that 70% of the Bahamian population is trapped on this Island facing the grim options of either immediate death by being shot or slow drawn out death due to carcinogenic sickness. To this end, it is hard to imagine anyone intentionally wanting to kill its own people, including themselves, hence why I say this should not be regarded as a political issue, as crime and air quality affect us all and require us to come together as a Nation to support Renew in trying to resolve the issue once and for all.

Absolutely brilliant!

We are living in a "failed" State and as such one is fully entitled to arm and protect themselves, along with property without need for Referendum on Constitutional reform sanctioning "the right to bear arms" by way of a Right akin to theUS 2nd Amendment, as again we are a "failed" State now governed by inherent human rights, which include the right to arm and protect one's self.

Fire the Laundry Man, who will simply "hose you, dry you and then press you", and surround yourself with half way sensible Bahamians who truly support your Project and share "your Vision", as opposed to the taste of free Champagne aboard your Private Planes and Yachts to exotic locales, all at your expense, only to leave you "high and dry" when you need their "supposed" wisdom, guidance, support and influence, which was obvious to ALL except you, they have NONE.

Learn from your mistakes and you will be the wiser for it, perhaps even in the process make Daddy proud and get yourself back in his Will!

Well done "Ocean Club", you looked "good" on Network TV and in turn, unlike "Albany" made The Bahamas look good and somewhere people who have not already visited might like to one day, possibly even acquire a second home. Congratulations on not only building, but more importantly maintaining a World Class Property!

Interesting debate. Whilst the approach the Government is taking towards implementaion may be flawed, their ultimate desire is not, and the problem people like Dr. Sands have is that, irrespective of political persuasion, they have "arrogantly"been using their medical skills to play "God" with Bahamian lives and forgotten long ago in favor of financial gain what the Hippocratic Oath even is, much less what it was intended to ensure by allowing the general public access to such medical skills for the good of mankind, irrespective of financial reward.

Well done Shackleton! You are an inspiration to us all to not only get out there and see the World, including those places not so readily accessible and easy to explore. Again, well done and on behalf of all Bahamians we thank you for recognizing your "adopted" Country and regarding it as now your own!
