Let's give credit where credit is due. Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival was one of the best experiences I've had in my life. Complete hats off to PM Christie for this wonderful event. What many idiots don't seem to realize is that once Bahamians embrace BJC, then tourists will follow. I anticipate thousands of tourists next year. This is without a doubt Christie's legacy and the downers and naysayers will be forgotten like swatted flies. Carnival is the future of the Bahamas! Embrace it, love it or shut the heck up.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that Bahamian MPs do not believe anything they have done is corrupt, nefarious or ungodly. These men actually believe that if they win their seat in Parliament that gives them the RIGHT to steal from the public treasury. In their ass-backward, Machiavellian mindset, they believe the public expects them to become rich from their stay in Parliament. It's as if they have won the lottery, and they are now entitled to reap its rewards. Only once we, the people, change their mindset, will we see a change from the ghetto, get-rich-quick, gangsta rappers that govern us. Not to mention "conflict of interest" is a fiction created by America to keep people of color down. There's no such thing as "conflict of interest," only us getting ours. The PLP should be rebranded with the clothing moniker FUBU, For Us BY Us. And if y'all don't like it get the F_ _ _ out of town.

This is very strange news indeed. It sounds like a set-up. Once again, the Bahamian people are not being told the true facts.

Currently, 93 countries have freedom of information laws. With this in mind, FOI legislation has become a definitive criteria for classifying a country as democratic. Without FOI leglislation, the Bahamas is falling short of global best practice and is precariously close to becoming defined as a non democratic regime.

These people are unreal. Murderers walk the street, but strip bar workers are picked up without a second's delay. The police in this island must have no heart. Don't they realize that men have sexual needs that must be fulfilled. Make love not war. If the men need a little something, let them have it. Who are they hurting. I grow sicker of this country by the day. They don't want the men to rape or kill, yet they lock up their one release at a moment's notice. Are they not aware of Maslow's hierarchy of needs that places sexuality as a basic, survival need on the same level as eating and shelter. It's time we get over our sexual hangups as a people! If you don't want it, don't do it, but certainly don't ruin it for all the rest. Why force men to travel to Cuba for some action? That is cruel and inhumane. Even the tourists want it, but can't find it anywhere, so they're leaving in droves this hideously boring little island called The Bahamas.

Why hasn't BEC been sold by now? Surely where there is such a ravenous demand for a product and captive markets such as Bahamar and Atlantis, any company would jump at the chance. If you can't make money from such a lucrative business as energy/electricity, when you have a complete monopoly, zero competitors and infinite demand for your product, you should get out of the business period. Get rid of it! Sell it at a fire sale price! I'm beginning to wonder if the reason BEC was not sold is that the purchasers would not agree to buying oil from PLP cronies at extortionate prices.

It's very strange to me that an Attorney would oppose a fiscal responsibility act with the defeatest argument that it's bound to fail. How will we know if we don't try? I cannot imagine the reasoning behind his position. Why does he wish to maintain a status quo, which spells disaster for future generations?

I for one am very pleased this radio show has been cancelled. It was very oppressive to turn on the radio during prime listening hours and hear creol pouring out of my speakers. The people on the show seemed so arrogant and one sided in their views. It was very insulting to the intelligence of the listener, because they presumed their audience to have as deep a hatred for the Bahamas Government as they did. There is nothing beautiful about illegal acts; if you put lipstick on a pig it's still a pig -- illegal immigration is a horrific crime perpetrated on the citizens of the Bahamas. The Haitian issue is very clear to most of us -- we do not wish for our kingdom to be overthrown. A long time ago, Haitians would have attempted to overthrow the Bahamas by force. Their milateristic plan to occupy the Bahamas made clear. Today, they are still using violent force to overthrow us, but the violence is inchoate. It takes the form of illegal immigration and mass reproduction. I would be honest with the Haitians that seek to conquer -- we will not be overthrown quietly. We will not allow you to organize ranks on a national broadcast. Thank God that show has finally been removed and shame on Guardian Radio for allowing it to bombard and harass our lives for so long.

Bamsi is such a sham. All you need to farm is ground, water and seeds. Why spend millions on dorms. What an a@#hat idea. Farming is about getting dirty and living off the land. Once again, millions spent for no purpose other than to sell Bahamians a false dream. Get your a#$ on your hands and knees and start tilling soil -- that's how you farm. It's not a banking job ya kknow.

I'll side with the PLP on this one. Carnival is a great idea. I gotta call out the press and Bahamian naysayers -- all of your complaints sound like ignorant garbage. Carnival will be the best thing to happen in The Bahamas in ages. Just face it, Junkanoo has lost its interest for many people now. Many do not even bother going anymore and those who do often regret it due to the long waits between groups. New Providence has become one of the most boring places on Earth. It needs Carnival to spice things up.
