I wonder if the Government will charge the Shanty Town Haitians 2.2 million dollars for expanding their property? Ya neva see it!

accused him of spending $240,000 on NIB’s credit card within a period of three years.

It was later revealed that the probe cost the government $861,606.

If this isn't a clear example of government corruption, I don't know what is. How much does it cost to check Bank credit card records, $10. Where was the 861K spent?

I highly doubtful there is a line of real purchasers for value. Probably a bunch of folks with $5 and $20 in their hand looking for a steal. The FNM has become the laughingstock of the Caribbean.

So many people dredge and expand their property and nothing happens to them. This is just an obvious money grab. Going after deep pockets. I hope Nygard finds a loophole.

BahamaPundit says...

If you want to see corruption in action, just look at the Fiscal Responsibility Act. The FNM have delayed it coming into force until July 2019, so they have plenty of time to do their dark deeds, let alone the hotel slush fund they purchased to use as a vehicle to transfer our VAT funds to cronies. These people are unreal!!!

It seems the only way to change Bahamian politics is ta kill ya self. Cuz no matter how hard we try, we march, beg, scream, pray on bleeding knees, as soon as we change one party for the next, one leader for the next, that party or leader turns 360 degrees from the transparency they promised and becomes just as corrupt and hard headed as the ones they replaced. I am not a quitter, but the thick headed, thick lipped, thick heeled leaders we have here aren't worth spending a day in the seventy years promised to man thinking about. These are worthless, nothings. Scumbags. Detritus. The lowest of the low.

From what I've seen of Eleuthera, he should call it "Eleuthera's golden desert." It's one of the quietest places on Earth. You can hear a pin drop for miles. If anything could be said to have the potential of being Eleuthera's golden goose, it would be Disney.

BahamaPundit says...

Why is it such a bad idea SP? I've been to Eleuthera and the economy is dead as a doornail.

BahamaPundit says...

You idiots want to throw out Disney but keep the Chinese. Are you insane? The majority of you never even went to this property or cared about it until now. It's a private property. The seller has the right to chose who he wants to sell it to. There should be some stipulations like right for Bahamians to use facility and beaches and Disney cannot use this port for other Cruise lines. Other than that, it would be insane not to go forward.

Why can't we imagine a Freedom of Information Act? For some reason, these FNM dreamers have dreams that want to keep Bahamians in the dark.
