I have no idea what the hell is going on with this money. More facts please. If it is truly our time, we deserve a better explanation or at very least a full report of the steps that have been taken to trace the money by the Ministry of Finance and a list of possible explanations and how evidence is being gathered to verify those explanations.
Keep it coming FNM. Let's get the facts though. We need evidence. My feeling is that Turnquest realizes that the entire PLP cabinet must be prosecuted for this theft, and he is hesitant because it may cause the PLP to riot.
First of all, the IMF is not ordering anyone to do anything. Our government is broke!!!!! Bahamians don't seem to comprehend this, for whatever reason (only God knows why). The IMF is just advising our Government how to get their house in order before the s _ _ t hits the fan.
I'm behind a national lottery 100%. It's a no brainer. The only sad part is that thugs were able for this long to hold hostage the national lottery for their own selfish gains.
I disagree. Revelations such as this are very, very important. They make a permanent historical record of PLP corruption when in office. This historical record is invaluable, because it can be used as a future reference point when elections roll around again to ensure the PLP never, ever, ever take office again. Information is power!!!! Under the PLP we were told to shut up and sit small. Now is our time!!! Everything must be brought to light!!!
Fire the excess public service. Cut Bamsi completely. Sell BahamasAir. Tax the webshops 50% of earnings. Start a national lottery. Do all these things before considering income tax.
Lock me up now. If income tax is inforced, I will be dodging it like a prize boxer. VAT is bad enough and still no word where it disappeared to. Can you imagine income tax? The only ones this will prosper will be accountants.
