I find it hard to believe PLP MPs cannot be charged for corruption without this legislation. I'm sure the common law and current statute law could provide for them to be brought before the courts on the basis of theft and fraud. Paying a milliin dollars for a five dollar job should lead to a conviction before the courts without this legislation.

The prosecution of these matters will determine whether black Bahamians can break free of the shackles of being natural slaves. Can they rule? Can they institute justice? Or are they just slaves dressed up in their white master's clothing pretending to rule a country.

The best, only, thing Sarkis can do is sue the Government and/or Chinese for damages. He should give up the idea of buying the resort. That ship has sailed. Sue for damages and go on with your life.

Agreed. Everything Carl Bethel has said recently has scared the pants off of me. He seems the last person on Earth we would want in the AG chair moving forward with a new way of doing things in The Bahamas. Obfuscation, lies, sparse transparency. I fear Mr. Bethel will be the Achilees Heel of the FNM moving forward. He needs to go.

You must not realize how screwed the Bahamian economy is. If there was any other way, I would be 100% in Sarkis' corner. Also, I was being tongue in cheek somewhat, so there's that.

Why is Sarkis still spouting his dirty laundry in the PRESS!!!! Hasn't he learned by now that in The Bahamas going to the Press just turns the Government against him and makes him politically toxic? If the FNM do not prosecute it will be due to fear that should they lose the next election they will be prosecuted too. Fear is sn unacceptable reason. Grow some balls and pursue justice for the Bahamian people!
