As usual Bahamians hear what they want and ignore the rest, to the exclusion of context.

She did not condone beating women, what she said was act like a lady and be treated as such.

There is no justification for domestic abuse from either sides of the marriage. The question needs to be raised on how can we better teach conflict resolution, because it's becoming very clear most Bahamians lack sensible conflict resolution.

I'm so tired of this... easy fix

Have the man apply for a Haitian passport to which he is entitled. Then have him apply for legal resident status in The Bahamas.

It's very simple, but no they looking to grant automatic citizenship to a man who obviously diaregarded the law for years. He's friggin 35 so for 17 years he hasn't made any application for legal status in The Bahamas.

I say send his arse back to Haiti and be happy they aren't making you pay for the flight.

This country to slack with immigration... ridiculous

I don't completely disagree with her. If you want to be treated like a lady then act accordingly. There are consequences to every action and people need to learn how to respect one another.

Smh, they need to make him a take a mandatory boating course because clearly he doesn't know what he's doing.

Missing at sea two times in a year...smh. He's lucky, some people don't live to tell this tale once much less twice.

Furthermore it's using valuable resources to search for him when all this could have been prevented by a simple judgment call.

Back to my original point, stuff in the regular household garbage that shouldn't be. At what point do we address the main cause, we need better separation of household waste before it gets to the landfill.

It's 2018, why aren't we recycling...smh

No, the bright idea is that instead of throwing stuff that don't belong in the waste stream in the regular garbage, separate it into special containers.

There could then be a special bi weekly or weekly collection of such items. And once it arrives to the landfill there would be a specially designated area to dispose of said items.

It is a collective process that begins in the home and ends at the landfill.

It works in other countries why can't it work here. Bahamians like to much flicking slackness, always ready to throw blame. Smh

How about instead of blaming the government Bahamians do their part to help.

I wonder if they realize they contribute to these fires. When they dispose of the old microwave, and the old blowdryer, the old tv, and any other small household appliances in the garbage they cause issues like this.

Because when a fire does break out at the landfill -and it will because composting trash creates methane gas- what might have been a simple Class A fire with biodegradable household trash now becomes a Class B or D fire with solvents and combustible metals. Which makes it harder to control and requires more man power to extinguish.

So before niggas start pointing fingers, try and see what you can do from in your home to maybe help with some of the issue.

What this country needs is another public trauma centre located on a different part of the island. Many accidents or emergencies are funneled to PMH and they don't have the space or the staff to handle it.

A trauma centre located elsewhere would alleviated some of the burden currently placed on PMH. Furthermore having a few of the local clinics opened 24hrs to deal with minor accidents and emergencies may also assist.

A 12hr wait time in an ER is ridiculous and shouldn't even be allowed to occur. But what do I know, I haven't been to PMH since I was born in the eighties. Lol

Your assumption is an assumption and not fact, so therefore fact is you're an ASS for making it.

Unless you were on the plane and know exactly what happened you know nothing.
