well this "gubmint" failed on checking if these fellas had more than the bribe money as well.

They came here with a hope, a prayer, a business license for a business opened 2 weeks before in West Palm and control over an incompetent government.

They left with an approval worth billions that can be shopped on the market for financing. If this is above your head that is totally understandable and you should refrain from commenting.

The previous administrations (PLP and FNM) shelved the project for the same reasons we are complaining now.

That should be mentioned anytime you include previous administrations into this conversation.

Only our current jackass of a Prime Minister saw it fitting to go ahead with this deal that essentially f**ks over the Bahamian people - most significantly - the ones of Grand Bahama

This article is a clear indication that this government has lost its way and is obviously disconnected from the electorate.

It is very sad - less than 12 months into the term and it wreaks of the same deficiencies that plagued the last government.

When will parliamentarians ever get it?

Your allegiance is to the wider majority of Bahamians not just to the team of 35 that sits in Parliament nor The Cabinet team.

This is a government of resource so I'm sure they've seen the concerns - expressed by even some of their own supporters - on the feasibility and financing of this project.

Rather than embrace the concerns, this administration is determined to silence them.

Newsflash Hubert and Gang - We do not care if you guys are happy with the Oban team and their deal.

we are not.

The bad debt was moved from the company.. to another company.

If we account for the costs to service that debt, which is still a tax payer responsibility, this profit would probably be wiped out.

This is just a publicity stunt.

These guys just dont get it.

The Bahamas is bigger than your government/administration.

The greater win is not securing the majority of votes within the halls of parliament if the wider majority does not support what is being voted on.

This administration has obviously not learned from previous failures.

Every day we get closer to 2022 it becomes clear Hubert does not care to become Rt. Honorable... which is fair and within his right.. but the wellbeing and future of Bahamians that actually care for this country should not be compromised.

The constitution does not permit them to pass any laws without the presence of a single member of Her Majesty's Loyal opposition. They can bang and say yea as much as they want, the speakers inexperience has effectively reduced the house to an FNM meeting off mackey street.
