There is no way three junior level employees were able to funnel an excess of $7million out of the corporation over a period of a year without raising any flags to the executives.
It is known fact that the CFO - who's responsibility it is to ensure the Corporations finances are intact - is a card carrying FNM who was pivotal in several elections in the past. For example, there is visual evidence to prove she was extremely intimate in the election bid of past Marathon-mp Earl Deveaux.
Given the facts above there is reason to believe the CFO has been immune from prosecution due to her ties to the incoming government.
Moreover, it is public knowledge verified by photographic evidence that the incoming Chairman (Darnell Osbourne) and the infamous CFO enjoy a harmonious friendship outside of the corporation. Can this be another reason, actions as a result of the audit did not reach the CFO's doorstep?
Moving along: if you catch the Our news segment yesterday and reach out to the one of the disenfranchised BPL employees, or one who's job is still intact - they will tell you: throughout the course of the investigation there were several cheque's signed to fake vendors by the same CFO!
Here's a stark comparison: you have outgoing Cabinet Ministers being accused of less than $500k in offenses in some instances but they are hauled before the courts for justice..
But in this instance, there's an audit conducted by professionals showing there has been fraud that resulted in significant losses to a government subsidized entity, but there are no arrests? WOW.
Boy the FNM moving quickly to erode their popularity.
The blame definitely falls on the PLP for not making these workers permanent.
The incoming government, though, however should tread carefully with its general election popularity.
Everyday I read the headlines it appear there is a slow change of tide with the Minnis administration.
Once the few arrests that have yet to have a trial started have blown over, its like like the real FNM start to slowly but surely leak out.. BOB flip flop, Bahamar flip flop, VAT repeal flip flop..
I would definitely like to give you the opportunity to do so -with the right apprenticeship and tools- ten years from know it would be a glory for me to say I've empowered a Bahamian and by extension aided in the creation of a Bahamian business and industry - I thought this was the premise of Government - empowering Bahamians.
Can you kindly refer me to the study conducted or the Request for Proposal conducted that effectively eliminated Bahamians or proved that a lack Bahamian talent or interest required foreign consultation? Since the election - I've purchased copies of all the traditional dailies on a constant basis and have seen no such RFP's or requests for intent.
If this is all coming from the top of your doom - without any reason or evidence to prove that all Bahamians that have had the opportunity to study and/or practice abroad totally missed any chance to obtain the required marketing knowledge - YOU think is required to sell our country on a global scale - then you are just as bad as the guy over at the hotel that imports foreign labor to complete Bahamian jobs for double the salary.
The guy was actually a Bahamian - with a British accent - similar to the poodle currently occupying the Minister of Tourism's office.
Also does the outgoing , unpopular yellow shirts missteps validate D'Aguilar making the very same mistakes?
Lol are you that consumed with your party that you'd give him a pass on something you guys openly criticized a member on the other side of the floor for doing.
A special good morning to Jamal Moss - Minister of the Internet and defender of The Red Shirt.
Most fair and forward thinking Bahamians will agree with this statement, as unpopular as the yellow shirt making the statement may be.
Unfortunately, we have individuals - some that comment here - who are so consumed in their party's colors that they see party over country and therefore anything their preferred party utters is gospel.
It is a sad day in The Bahamas when Bahamians can defend firing Bahamians to hire a foreign firm - sad is an understatement.

A political opportunist... Totally abandoned his cause.
He promised he would march in 100 days if a number things didnt get implemented.
Fixed election dates and
Fixed term limits for the PM is just one of the things.
It appears as if those issues were conveniently heralded by Henfield to advance his political career.

With all due respect the CFO should've preceeded this termination or succeed it.
