flippin excellent!!!! Burn down all these illegal shanty villages...if I had the opportunity I'd set them all ablaze and see each illegal immigrant deported. Building these shanty towns and all they becomes is a cesspool of disease and slovenly living, not to mention an eyesore.
burn them all down!!!!!
i feel no pity...they live in these clapboard shacks, no running water, no electricity...it's unsafe and unsanitary. Ten people to a one room shack...they trying to make the Bahamas like Haiti. A bunch of clapboard shacks stacked upon each other, sharing filth and disease.
And who gives five shiites...if you are in prison you committed a crime. If you didn't want to be abused then don't break the law, and don't give the appearance that you are. SIMPLE!!!!
Another example of the gross negligence of the police force. Improperly executed warrant for a high-up official, makes you wonder how many other warrants they have executed in such a manner.
Has anyone noticed that crime began increasing when the teachers ability to administer corporal punishment was taken away? These young children have no respect for authority beginning at school age, why would they then have respect for each other.
Just my take on it...they want to help curb crime they need to start manhandling these young boys from school age. Waiting for the tree to become firm then they try bending it, at which point it's only going to break.
I feel sorry for the people that have to work at HMP under those conditions, but at the same time prison isn't a five star hotel. Criminals are in there for breaking the law not to lie up in air conditioned comfort, eat good, and fart sweet all while the government is footing the bill.
I haven't visited the prison since a 10th grade field trip and what I saw was ridiculous. Over twenty beds lined off in one room, pin ups of Punch girls all over. They need to build a whole new prison. Individual, dual, or triple occupancy cells and then have community showers.
But I also think they need to relocated that prison to a remote family island and have the officers do tours. Have a quarters for the officers to stay and let them have a rotating schedule.
As usual the Bahamas is stuck in the dark ages.... but hey we have a wonderful state of the art track and field area courtesy of the Chinese government.
This should be a clear indication that the government is no good...if there were then they would not be afraid of transparency. But clearly they want to keep Bahamians in the dark...
Haven't we realized already the police force is all about pomp and circumstance. They do things to get notoriety. There is no glamour and camera action in raiding the local web shop, or busting in on a group of illegal immigrants huddle in one shack, or searching the home of a known murderer and his/her accomplices.
But a raid on the home of the FNM chairman...I am sure those police were there throwing their rank around and walking through the house acting like they are big shots. Bahamian police are all about the flash of the job and not the grit.
Again that depends on where the parents reside...I know of cases where a Bahamian mother went to the US and had a child. That child was not automatically granted US citizenship. It had to be applied for...
No, it's not a matter of what is better. If they plan to market the Carnival to follow the fashion of other Caribbean nations Carnival then the two cannot be compared.
Junkanoo is an entity all it's own and nothing compares with that...I have been to several islands carnival and while they were fun and I had a great time I could not begin to compare Junkanoo to it. That would be like comparing apples and grapes and asking which is better, maybe if we were talking washington apples or granny smiths. LOL!!!
That's not the same...that's people taking the law into their own hands, furthermore the same people killing in retaliation are also criminals. Criminals need to be tried in a court by people appointed to uphold the law.
