I would like to send a personal Thank You to Sgt. McKenzie for rescuing my friend, Miriam Evans, from her home in Freeport. Miriam & my family were close friends when she lived next door to us in Miramar, FL. We heard of her being stranded on her desk, but unfortunately her cell battery went dead. When we received news from her family of her rescue we were thrilled. The heroic deeds of Sgt. McKenzie & those who aided him came just as things were looking very grim. Thank You to all & perhaps we can meet one day & give a proper Thank You. God Bless all the residents in the Bahamas. Margie Febro - Blountville, TN

I would like to send a personal Thank You to Sgt. McKenzie for rescuing my friend Miriam Evans from her home in Freeport. Miriam & became close friends with her when she & her family lived next door to us in Miramar, FL. We heard from her family that she was stranded on her desk during the storm. Thinks appeared very dire as her cell battery was dying. When we finally heard of her rescue we were thrilled. Her wonderful sons have been keeping us informed of the situation via newspaper articles & family texts. Things would of had a very different outcome had no one gotten the info to Sgt. McKenzie and he & other compassionate persons had not helped with the rescue. Maybe we shall meet one day under much better circumstances. Thank you & God Bless! Margie Febro - Blountville, TN
