For me it's about 60/40 between vaccinated and unvaccinated, but I probably know more vaccinated people than unvaccinated, so the number I know who have tested positive is always going to more for vaccinated.

My adult aged son, who lives with us, has just gotten over his second bout of Covid. Neither case were particularly bad, but his first case was definitely worse than his most recent Omicron case. He had the single J&J dose shortly after it came out (and after his first case of Covid), but he hasn't had a booster. My wife & I who are in the same house as my son, and were obviously in close proximity to him, have had all 3 Pfizer jabs (and not died yet :)), and have consistently tested negative. My daughter who had 2 Moderna jabs, but no booster, has also consistently tested negative.

I'm not trying to say anything here, I'm just stating my own personal experience. Yours may differ.

Interesting data, but I think we all know by now that the vaccinated can become infected.

The fact that the study also showed that the booster is significantly beneficial against the much more dangerous Delta strain (which is still around), is very promising.

However, if you read the discussion section of the paper, you will see that they reference other similar studies in other countries that show significantly different results to theirs.

Meanwhile in Quebec, 85% of population are vaccinated and 15% unvaccinated, but 50% of the hospital cases are unvaccinated. Now they are going to impose tax fines on the unvaccinated.

On Brave - don’t take risks, get the jab

Agreed. I wasn't looking to justify what the liberals are saying. I was just playing devils advocate because, for the most part, conservatives say that what happened on Jan 6th was insignificant & inconsequential, which I personally don't think it was. Supporters of neither side have the cajones to call out their own 'side'. A few do, but the die-hard chicken $hit$ just don't have it in them.

Lol "Internationally Licensed to Research" WTF does that mean ?
Since when does a scientific researcher need a license. Any Researcher worth a jot certainly wouldn't be reading, let alone peer reviewing, the Russian Times or Epoch Times.
Thanks for the today's best laugh

Hey brudda, any chance you can find other sources besides the two Russian & Chinese propaganda news sites you continually post links to ?

After all this time, (and the 2 million or so links you've posted from these two sources), do you really think anyone on here cares about them ? Also, not sure if you've noticed but this response of mine is probably the only one you've had to any of your posts in the last century. I wonder why?

Haha, and conservatives keep trying to turn it into a Thanksgiving celebration, which ain't going to work either,

Wow, every time The Tribune posts this guys articles, the only comments are about the author's perceived political leanings. Me suspects no-one actually reads the articles, but those consumed with politics feel the need to air their own political leanings as a counter.

C'mon guys this is not Fox News or CNN. There are only a handful of people who read these comments, so save your political biases (whichever way they lean), for those politically bent 'news' sites.

Wow, who knew The Bahamas had so many expert Scientists, Doctors, Virologists & Immunologists. The CDC, WHO etc. should look no further than our beautiful Bahamian shores for all their Covid answers. The world will be so grateful to us, that hopefully they will all chip in and pay off our national debt.

I seem to remember the FNM also trying to fill everyone with optimism at the start, with regular updates. They spewed the same story about "being optimistic" and having "numerous interested investors". However, those updates soon became less frequent and were typically along the lines of "we are close to signing a deal". We all know how those deals ended !

I think there is merit in what he's saying, it's pretty chaotic in the US at the moment.

Currently, it's nearly impossible to get a home test kit from any drug store in the US. They all have signs in their windows saying they are out of stock. Similarly, it's hard to get a test appointment (PCR or Antigen) within 7 days, and for non-appointments you are lucky if you have to wait in line less than 5 hours. The holidays and back to school testing requirements have caused major problems.

My son recently had to have a PCR and Rapid Antigen test. The Antigen test took 48 hrs to get the result (instead of the normal couple of hours), and the PCR result 3-4 days. These turnaround times are not helpful if a 72hr PCR result is required.
