The problem with the revised lower estimate of Omicron cases, means that the others are Delta. The number of Covid cases wasn't revised, just the number of Omicron cases.

Remember, just because Omicron is the now dominant variant, doesn't mean that Delta, or previous versions have gone away. Delta is still out there and by all accounts still far more dangerous (to the unvaccinated, vaccinated and covid recovered), than Omicron is. Now is not a good time to get complacent.

LOL, you really have no idea what is involved in testing of vaccines do you?

So, if the media won't report the truth, where does JokeyJack get his version of the "Truth" from? Just asking for a friend.

Um, Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine for itching and allergies. It's not an analgesic (painkiller), like Tylenol, Aspirin, Ibuprofen etc, which most people take for headaches, fever etc.

If you've ever personally wondered why your headaches don't go away after taking Benadryl, you now know why, lol.

It typically takes between a few days and a week from infection, for the virus to build up sufficiently in the body to get a meaningful test result. The Rapid Antigen test, which is the test required for travel, is a lot less sensitive than the PCR test so it wouldn't be unusual for someone to have been already infected but test negative as the requirements are for testing 2-3 days before travel.

Additionally, the person may have returned a negative test 2-3 days before travelling, but become infected in the interim 2-3 days after testing and before travelling.

Actually it's 14 deaths in UK from Omicron.

Antibodies are not in the virus. Antibodies are what your body's immune system produces to fight off any Antigen (in this case a virus) that 'invades' your body.

Also, vaccines (all types, not just Covid vaccine), are cleared (metabolized) by your body usually within a couple of days, or a few weeks at the most. Once the vaccine is cleared from your body, your immune system (T-Cells & B-Cells) is left with a 'memory' of how to fight off this particular Antigen, should it ever encounter it again.

Just like the vaccine, natural immunity doesn't last forever. You know that, right?

$1.5 million per month. I seem to remember quite a few politicians and several people on here (not mentioning any names - tweet, tweet), yelling and screaming when the previous government kept paying to keep it open. No deal is going to happen at least for the next 2 years, so there goes another $40 million (at least). Same $hit, just a different color.

From December 16th

Currently there are about 7,600 people with Covid-19 in South African hospitals, about 40% of the peak in the second and third waves. *Excess deaths, a measure of the number of deaths against a historical average, are just below 2,000 a week, an eighth of their previous peak.*

“We are really seeing very small increases in the number of deaths,” said Michelle Groome, head of health surveillance for the country’s National Institute for Communicable Diseases.

***More than 90% of hospital deaths were among the unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, News24 reported, citing Waasila Jassat, a researcher with the NICD.***
