Would love to see your data on 'natural immunity being the only solid protection'. Not saying it couldn't be true, just wondering how you can back up your statement at this time.
Oh, and as of today there is still no word in the scientific or real world communities on the effectiveness of the vaccines against Omicron strain..
I wouldn't be surprised to see someone on here posting in the next 48 hrs about how good all those other treatments (hcq, ivm, rmsdvr etc) are against Omicron.
For once I totally agree with Mr Evans. His letter is so on point. That whole area is a major eyesore, and why do they still need to keep the main East-West road blocked off ?
Someone needs to hold Harcourt's feet to the proverbial fire and get them to do something with the old Princess/Royal Oasis hotels and associated golf courses. There are homeless people living around the hotel and the 2 golf courses all but been totally reclaimed by the bush.,
IMO it would have been better to let the whole bazaar burn down, I think the problem is that there are multiple different owners (Associations) of the bazaar, and unless all of them agree to throw in their towels, or reinvest wasted capital, it will continue to be THE major eyesore on the island.
Like Heastie says, people always have money to pay for their cellphone data, but not their electricity. Difference is, they mainly pay for the data upfront, and not after using it. Maybe it's time to go back to the old school coin operated electricity meters, where you had to pay upfront.
Agree with your apples and oranges comparison, but my response was to the blanket liability immunity, not the mandate for compulsory vaccination.
On the topic of compulsory vaccination, there are already instances of that with vaccination against certain diseases required before starting school, working in certain industries (for example handling blood or tissue samples, waste treatment) & if you want to visit certain countries.
I guess you are entitled to your opinion, but that is a strong, mean statement based..... just on your opinion. Most of her work has been on the country's hiv/aids program.
This has also been an issue when it comes to the firearms industry and gun dealers. Their argument has always been that they are not responsible for how other people use their products, but they are responsible for the quality of the product. They cannot control if a gang banger, or mentally unstable person uses their product to injure or kill a person.
I'm assuming that the vaccine makers struck a deal that was partially related to the above, as well as other factors that are too involved to discuss here.
Additionally, I'm not sure whether the blanket immunity only applies to the USA or worldwide.
If you consider cancelling official Christmas celebrations to be "locked down", then you are correct. BTW, how many COVID deaths has Gibraltar had since being 100% vaccinated?
To be honest Gibraltar is not really a good indicator, since it only has a population of about 30,000, and a lot of them travel on a daily basis into Spain for work etc.
It is going to be interesting to see what happens in Austria though.
