*Fwreddy Boy and a couple of his friends are looking for a few lavish vacation trips to the finer places in Italy this coming Summer at the expense of Bahamian taxpayers.*

You beat me to it.

*Due to her accepting a salary they are no longer an NGO*

Wrong. Do your research on NGO's. NGO employees are paid a salary. They are not a volunteer based charity. And FYI, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Goodwill all have paid employees.

Exactly. The days of Cable TV are numbered. None of my adult kids or their friends have Cable TV service, but they all put their money into the fastest internet speeds available.

The younger generation are all about streaming, and the sooner BTC and Cable Bahamas realize that, the better.

Perhaps if they offer an a-la-carte service, where customers can pick and choose which individual channels they want, then that might be a good interim way to go (until the Cable TV generation expire).

I don't know about anyone else here, but I doubt I watch any more than 6 different channels these days, so I don't need 99% of what Cable Bahamas has to offer.

For all you churchgoers, what percentage of your tithes & contributions would you expect to go the community, and what percentage to the Pastors, Bishops etc ?.

Judging by the standard of living of some of the Pastors & Bishops, I would guess it is significantly more than 9%.

For all intents and purposes, aren't churches a type of NGO ?

Agreed! Davis has totally embarrassed himself if he truly thinks NGO's are volunteer based. Where was he during all the hurricane relief efforts ? My guess is probably not caring or helping. How can a politician of his supposed standing be so ignorant and not know that NGO's pay their people and have costs.

Maybe he doesn't like NGO's because they are non-government affiliated.

And any of you Davis groupies who believe what he said is true, just do a brief search online please.

Get solar installed on your house along with a 240 volt Level 2 EV charger, and you could probably not have to worry about gas prices again. Given the size of the Islands, range should not be an issue on a daily basis (unlike in the US). Admittedly, up front costs are high, but the long term future cost of petrol, gas & electricity is only going one way

How about the tourists follow local regulations, just like we have to when we travel to a different country. Many Americans get all pissy when they have to follow rules & regulations they don't have to back home. They assume every country must follow their lead. Not to mention the uproar when there isn't a Burger on the menu.

WTF?

They are marriage vows, not laws. The fact that your narrow tunnel vision refers to 'marriage' as Holy Matrimony, explains who you are. How many non-christian weddings have you been to? Marriage is not just for those that are ruled, and consumed, by the Holy Bible. Open your eyes John, and see the world for its full spectrum of cultures, religions, sects, tribes & countries and try and grasp that not all 8 Billion people on this planet are stuck in a 2000 year old time warp..

You are too polite

Oil is traded on the futures market so most of it is bought several months in advance. The price of oil was ramping up well before US sanctions were introduced, but not before the build up of Russian troops on the Ukraine border.

To be honest the price of oil is effected by many different things that are probably too complex for any of us mere mortals on here to understand. The OPEC nations have a large say in it as well. Go back to 2008 when oil prices hit nearly $170 and then suddenly dropped to below $50. Some say it was market manipulation by OPEC (supply & demand) others say differently. The price of oil between 2007 - 2014 probably averaged around $120 a barrel.
