Seriously I think it could be a case of simply loss of control. Spacial disorientation on take off. Taking off at night time climbing into a black hole not getting on your instruments soon enough. Probably never know.
I believe the same thing happened with the helicopter crash on Grand.
Probably bought them in the US. You know they legal in quite a few states. Kinda like prohibition back in the day liquor legal in the Bahamas but banned in the US.
Help me remember. In the old days the Immigration officer would take one's passport, open it up and look at the picture. Then he would look at You. Guess that was too intrusive.
I suspect that recreational marijuana will be on the 2022 Florida ballot. I believe it will pass. Bahamas will have less than two years to get this right or kiss their tourist trade goodbye.
American Tourists will not put up with being dragged off cruise ships and arrested for Dangerous Drugs.
I say this not as a bad thing or a good thing but just the way it is. It is what it is.
President Biden and the Democratic Congress may simply legalize marijuana on a federal level. The clock is ticking.
