Bahamas is 590 miles north to south. Abaco is practically on the north end.
Haiti is on the south end. How did the Haitians get so far without detection?
Then again maybe they just swim over from the Mud.

In 2015, the Bahamas exported $1.87B and imported $8.67B, resulting in a negative trade balance of $6.8B.

Doubt the Bahamas can export their way out of this.

"Does this house have a Standby Generator?"

Bonefishpete says...

Perhaps the US should pull back and stay on our side of the Gulfstream and let the RBDF handle it all. You want it both ways, you want your sovereignty AND uncle sam too. These Haitians were interdiction in Bahamas Waters.
I suppose none of these Haitians might want to go to Abaco.

WTF, Bahamas told Izerman he had no standing in US Courts.
CCA telling Florida Judge, Give me the chairs. GTFO

Bonefishpete says...

Maybe just maybe the Bahamas Government should legalize gun ownership for law abiding
Bahamians to protect themselves, handguns included. Seems the guns are getting into the country anyways.

What if Bahamasair or some private airline used solely Cessna turbine Caravans for
inter Island routes. Something along the lines that Watermakers or Cherokee Air does?
Cost per mile or per seat would be far less than operating ATR twin turboprops.

Bonefishpete says...

What happens when the Bahamian Air Traffic Controllers all call in sick the next
work stoppage? Air Traffic from Bahamas all the way southeast to Caribbean and
South America would stop flying. Then again with great cost and delay they
could pay Cuba to handle the over flights.
