boy i hope he wins. not soley for the financial compensation, but rather mostly as a means of punishing the government for its illegal behavior.
our government is demonstrably a banana republic style if government and needs to be shamed for what its become and held accountable.
sadly this will be paid by tax payers, if only the criminal actors could be forced to pay. if crooked immigration, police and defence force officers could be forced to loose their homes as a result of have to meet large financial losses from this lawsuit, perhaps these officers and others would learn to respect the law, despite the wishes of our corrupt leaders.
the number one problem that all nations face is a governments insatiable appetite for more revenue. every government in every nation will choose the pursuit of more revenue while ignoring the lack of efficiency and poor value for the dollar in every service provided.
its as though, rather it is, that tax revenue becomes is a market segment that is open for the ruling members and their cronies to exploit for profit.
the services provided by government will never be efficient or cost effective, the service is so poor and expensive that in every case we are better off without them.
there is not one service provided by a government which can compete with the same service offered in the private sector. Not in quality of service, not in price.
the reasons are simple; the government revenues support a parasite class that consists of politicians, civil servants, and their cronnies.
they will forever concoct new ways and reasons to collect more from the people unde the guise of "providing".
the only solution is to never, and i mean never let governments grow.
police are employed to primarily protect the rulers, and the elite. Policing of the public seves three main purposes, it serves to help preserve the tax paying heard, ensure the heards resources are not depleted to the point it effects the ability to pay taxes (ie prevent property crimes), and lastly to provide the illusion of a "just society".
Though the system is complex, encompassing all of the societal points of indoctrination. Education for example serves to instil patriotism, as one that is convinced of his or her's countries great stature is more inclined to follow rules and believe the words of the elected rulers. additionally, notice the major component of early education which teaches children to be polite, honest , follow rules etc, meanwhile we witness none of these characteristics in the ruling class or societies elite.
its all an illusion to make you feel like the country is fair, just and for the people.
funny how every law has to be accompanied by a twisted word campaign to convince us to accept it. But, trust them, its for the people.
you forget that one of the main rolls a bank plays is to keep people from succeeding.
they are part of the system that wants to keep people down.
who do you think the majority shareholder are; let me tell you, controlling interest in all banks is held ny the rich weathy investors. they dont want you to succeed
Oh great another idiot who thinks economies need to forever grow by adding people. Well in our little Islands, are we supposed to want twice as many homes suffering power outages, twice as many people getting lousy education and lousy heathcare, twice as many cars, twice as many crimes, twice as many failed water systems, sewerage systems, Twice as many car accidents, twice as many stores Double every also doubles cost.
Grow our economic prosperity through growth in product by getting smarter and better at what we do. Stop expending efforts on things of low value. Improve our tourist product and invest to have more locally owned hotels. We have much wealth, why are our wealthy not owning these big resorts, developing what land gets developed.
Surely our big wealthy familys could have been behind Ocean Club, Lyford, Old Fort, Albany, Bakers Bay etc etc etc, So why haven`t they..... I`d like to know.
Seems our wealthy only want to invest in things that they can derive revenue from Bahamians. Seems foreigners only invest in things that derive revenue from foreigners.
Why not fix just this issue of locals investing to capitalize on foreigners ..........
If the wealthy wont do it, why not put together a fund where smaller local investors pool resources to do the next big deal
Forget the 400,000 more immigrants, that will just double our problems, ruin what isn`t ruined already. How many of you have gone back to places that were so pristine when you were children, only to think to yourself `this is ruined now`too much development, too many people.

Long past that stage.
But notice the checks and balances are always run by the same team, or they have no teeth.
No matter the country.
The rulers will never be ruled, it's just simple fact!
