Party discipline and Democracy are not only two different things, but they are also quite conflicting.

If Minnis truly supports the idea of democracy than he would have had to go against tradition and allow dissention in the vote. While it's true that with enough dissention / votes against the budget brings confidence in government into question; it is at that point that members voting in representation of their constituents that brings democracy to action and to life.

To try and prevent this via party discipline is the equivalent of denying democracy its voice.

The only question to ponder, if one is a believer in democracy, is the question of how well the members understand the will of their constituents, and if they vote accordingly.

The collapse of a governing party, due to the members votes in accordance with their "constituents will", and resulting the "loss of confidence", is perhaps the best case scenario in a democracy. If nothing else it brings about change , when it is needed most.

I challenge Dr Minnis to explain and prove me wrong. Trust me, he can't, and he doesn't have the fortitude to face a real challenge.

id say until our powerful and rich elite start investing , we need to do whatever it takes to bring and keep the foreigners.
You don't think the big boys here could have funded as much of Bahamar as Izzy.
Of course , we don't have anyone with big time vision like Izzy or Sol

you really believe it's that simple? Come on, any bunch of thieving elitest who can rob a country blind and stay out of jail, is plenty smart enough to fix our education system. But why would they, that just make it harder to steal.
These guys know what to do, problem is, they know all too well why they should not do it.

what you're missing in the grand scheme of things is that the first world governments are the professional thieves, our bumbling buffoons are just rookies, and that's why you know about it. Believe me, you don't want them to learn the ways of the developed countries, lest you wanna pay 75% of your income in tax by the time it done spend, and get nutting much for service.

How many webshop owners are there. Simple solution, take them out. Make this illegal, put them behind bars, take all their money and give it to the people. End of story.

Please what 10 web shop owners, or 350000 citizens? If ever there are cases where wealth confiscation is justifiable, this is one.

Trying to stop crime with police is like trying to stop rain with an umbrella, or the waves with a seawall.

Fix the problems in this nation you bumbling buffoon then most of the crime will disappear.
Educate the people, stop robbing them, stop letting the rich rob them, give the people a chance , give them a reasonable expectation of success if they try. Teach your own kids to have respect for people. Teach them to use birth control, or to raise the children they create.

This is going to take at least a generation to fix, likely more. Anybody who thinks any different is failing to reason honestly.

Unless u pair one cop with one criminal, you won't stop crime by adding police.

It's taken years of the ruling class of scumbag criminals raping society to push our people to the point of no hope / what the heck crime is all I can do.

Our country will continue to pay until our social fabric is repaired to a point where there is realistic hope for everyone.

Our country is all the proof one needs to see what happens when the ruling elite steal all the money and keep the people suppressed

wont change either, simply they will break up their companies into franchises or "group of companies" etc etc something like that

Chucky says...

I think we can all see what's coming, the web shops will simply break themselves up into smaller business to keep below the lowest taxation threshold.

Nothing will be gained as far as tax revenue goes!

I suggest we enact legislation that brings an end to the gaming industry.
