Not only are his comments disgraceful and against human rights; our system of keeping people locked up in a cage to urinate, defalcate and menstruate on the floor which they are also forced to sit, sleep and eat is shameful and another great violation of human rights. Every Bahamian can rest assured they can have no legitimate pride as long as this carries on this county.
I would argue than anyone who can stand by, while knowing people are treated like this and do nothing about it, is nothing but a savage.

"In her claim, the woman describes a crowded and filthy detention centre with menstruating females left to bleed out on the floors and with no sanitary napkins or washing facilities."

This statement speaks volumes about every one of us in this country. This is a disgraceful disgusting situation and an insult to humanity and especially to all women (about 50%) of society.

Anyone who doesn't take this on is just as sick and depraved as though who are in charge, and therefore we're all guilty by complacency.

We are in many ways, one of the most disgusting peoples of this world.

What next is Wayne going to suggest we put them in chains and make them work to earn their keep and cost of deportation?

Perhaps Wayne would like to see an ISIS form of "justice" in our country.

Wayne has clearly lost his mind along with any and all sense of humanity or justice.

There is not one person in our country who's origin is from here, have we not learned anything from the suffering of our ancestors who's travels and experiences upon arrival in this land were far from civilized.

Hi , gotta say I take offence to your comment, as it's very very insulting to janitors.......
I'd suggest you rephrase you comment as follows: "Our problem is we don't respect the law, from the janitor down to the cabinet minister.

Hate to state the obvious; but it's abundantly clear that the politicians are not exactly the "highest" form of people, and deserve no respect unless they earn some.

Good point, it could be argued that this lack of concern is a display of the true lack of concern for a humans well being. Us Bahamians care not for any of those " of haitian" decent, except for the ones we own....... "I got me a Haitian to do dat"

Chucky says...

that move was no accident, no government wants a society of critical thinking citizens.

If the insurance companies are squawking it's only cause they fear they soon loose this cash cow. Any jobs they cut will be picked up by the new administrators of the plan. Lets face it people, if this was done without corruption, it should take the profit out of the health care insurance industry, which is a good thing. Sadly we're too corrupt here, but still private companies should not profit off your and my health care needs.
