I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest we as a nation must be on the verge of financial ruin, bankruptcy or something; what else could drive such nonsensical attacks against and investor?

We must need this online now, and without it we can't make our debt payments? Why else would they attack an investor, as if we drive one investor of this caliber away, we will never get another one.

One thing our political fools are not considering is how well the worlds elite stick together. Izmerilain can lead a charge to crush our nation if we're not careful!

I'm not even gonna mention or suggest what it's possible for him to do or have done to the leader themselves..............I'm sure many people are worrying about this!

I would suggest that if the expat managers are not being paid, and are leaving, they should shut down all operations other than the bare minimum of maintenance and security and let all our fellow Bahamians stay home without the remaining pay. We all know that the vast majority of our people need constant supervision to be effective, so without the expat managers there is absolutely no point to have the Bahamain staff onsite.

Bone fishing is a peaceful pastime, trust me when I say this, no foreigner is going to want to pay $600.00 day to hire a guide.

First of all , nobody needs a guide.

And second, and most importantly, nobody wants to spend a day with a Bahamian while you are bone fishing. Again bone fishing is about peace and tranquility, not about hanging out with one of our money grubbing / food spraying when you talk bahamains.

What a stup asinine idea.

Everyone is missing the point.

None of these people care about you, none of them care about the bahamas, all they care about is themselves and personal financial gain!

Does this guy understand that the products have to be able to be delivered to a store at a competitive price with imported goods.
You don't compare cost to produce with end retail price, retail includes the transport, wastage factor, store costs, overheads and profit, etc etc

JohnBuchanan, are you crazy? Do you think Baha Mar is owned by us, or by our government? It's a private company! Sure its big, sure it might create lots of jobs, but it's still a private company. You also can't be serious in expecting a private business owner to be honest with anyone can you? Do you think business guys tell only truths? They make their money by making things appear to cost a lot, and charging a lot, while doing work/ supplying goods / providing services as cheaply as possible, there is no honesty in that! Why should Izmirlian have to open his books, or tell the PM everything? Izmirlian does not owe thousands of Bahamians jobs! Nor does he owe the Bahamas and increase in GDP due to his own enterprises success, in fact, it is due to the governments excessive mismanagement of funds that creates this dire need to have the GDP of Izmirlians private development. Look how much they have given us already, look how much this development has given us already, just in new roads and infrastructure. It's attitudes like yours, that of such entitlement that cause such damage to our reputation, and actions such as our government is taking now which will ultimately be our demise via fright of investing here by anyone in the future!

I don't understand the nerve of these people. Baha Mar is a private venture; sure its large, or huge, and could provide thousands of jobs, but its just a bigger version of a small enterprise.
We already have a whole lot of new roads and infrastructure thanks to them! Baha Mar is a private business, that owes us nothing, if anything we have let them down. They will fix their situation as they see fit, the owner (Izmirlian) will make the best choices for his business, which will ultimately be the best choices for the Bahamas.
Our government, they've got a lot of never talking like it's a national asset, or an asset that owes the country jobs; it does not owe the bahamas anything.
And all this talk about our reputation, well believe me, every time these foolish leaders open their mouthes they do more damage to our reputation than anything else.
