Why do you assume that I desire for the government to take back BTC? I just expected things to improve under a private company and it has not. All they care about is selling cell phones. I am just calling a spade a spade. Their service sucks! It also sucked before it was privatized but, just a tiddle bit less.
It is not cheaper if you cell phones voice, texts, and 4g do not work 30% of the time. I know so many people who have even cancelled their cellular service because it is so poor. You make a voice call it drops so they charge you for the min. Then you have to call again. So they got 2 min on you then. Text messages received 4 days after they are sent. If you live on the family islands all you can do is call Nassau. The local BTC office cant help you.
I have said this over and over the environmental concerns about drilling for down off Cuba are so small compared to the disaster that would ensue if a oil or fuel tank ran aground in the Northern Bahamas on it's way to Freeport or some other destination. There has been a fuel tanker run aground close to Freeport for days now. Millions of gallons pass through the Northern Bahamas daily.
So are the pigeon shooters in Andros what caused the phone outages island wide in Abaco yesterday? All they have is excuses. The only thing C&W has been good at doing is increasing their profits. Phone service is not better. Cell phone service is no better. Prices are not lower. Internet service is not better and the customer service is as bad or worse than it has even been. If they do many more upgrades we will have to use tin cans and fishing line to communicate.
