Oh, gee thank you for that valuable dictionary link to "downdraft." Gosh, how could I ever get by without such help.
In return, here's a link to a practice known as "scud-running" -- you won't find it in a formal dictionary, so just ask a pilot about it: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scud_run…
Private jets use the same communication and navigation systems as commercial aircraft, lamebrain, regardless of the rules. Since you're an expert on flight rules, tell us what the rule is for cruising at just 100' off the deck more than 3 miles from the airport. We're listening ...
You are right, Duppy, passengers are not supposed to use a cell phone during flights, especially takeoff and landing. But you see people do it all the time. There's probably no way to know if that caused a problem, but for safety sake you just don't do it. What was so terribly important that it couldn't wait a couple of minutes? Even good people, like Dr. Munroe, can get carried away with their earthly sense of self-importance.
Apparently she is so stupid that she does not know that states cannot pass laws affecting foreign affairs; under the U.S. Constitution only the federal government can do that. If the moron had gone to school in America she'd maybe have known that. But it is hard to tell a Haitian anything they don't wanna hear.
Relax ... This blowhard is a state representative. Nobody pays any attention to state reps. She's also under investigation for tax fraud and other allegations. Her own political party has disavowed her. She cannot get any laws passed affecting the Bahamas. She's lucky if she can pass gas.
I have stayed at the Wyndham. It is a dump. The staff there specialized in ignoring customers or treating them like some annoying second cousins who were freeloading in their home for a weekend. Worst hotel service I have ever encountered. I've seen county jails that were friendlier. And now the government wants to support their lazy azzes? Good riddance, I say.
I agree ... they got off very light. They are Gypsy scam artists who got caught red-handed and then whimpered for mercy. A Bahamian who burglarized my home did 5 years in Fox Hill for stealing a couple of bottles of liquor and a pair of sneakers. These international professional thieves should have gotten at least that much. They came here to pull this crime because they think Bahamians are slow-witted. Given how light they got off, perhaps they were justified in believing that. They should have gotten the max.
Wasn't a silver Honda Accord identified in a number of recent robberies and shootings recently? Are they checking that connection? Or are they "not aware" of any similarities?
