I have nothing against a restaurant turning a profit. If the prices are too high, the public will stay away, as is their right. As for “service charges” and “tips,” I will always tip for good service, but it mightily offends me to have to pay a mandatory 18% gratuity for a grouchy Wendy’s clerk to mash a couple of burgers into a paper bag. Some things need to change ‘round here.
Huh? Did I read this correctly? The magistrate recommended that the woman exercise “a little more due diligence” in the future after being caught with 12 pounds of cocaine? Is the magistrate recommending she bring in “less” coke in the future? Or just hide it better?
As for the 5 months in jail— you can more than that for not wearing a mask. Jeezus, and folks wonder why the nation is in trouble?
Speaking of gravy boats, anybody heard from that “Gravy” Davis fella since he packed an overnight bag full of $100 dollar bills fled his native land, leaving all the po’ folk to fend for themselves?
Some days I would swear we could power the entire nation just by burning the takeout cartons and Wendy’s wrappers that Bahamians throw on the ground every day.
The previous poster asked, “Who is responsible for all this?” Well, among those responsible are the idiots who think Covid-19 is fiction and stupidly pretend it doesn’t exist. 174,000 dead Americans would nod their head in agreement — if they could.
Who is responsible? Everybody, including me, who have for decades tolerated laziness, sloth, inteptitude and incompetence at every single level of government. It’s now come home to roost when we’re hit with a crisis that takes competence and intelligence to overcome.
