In case you haven't realized, the Bahamas government has a poor global rapport. Especially given the corrupt, incompetent, illegal practices of our current government??? So please stop being silly.....just stop the nonsense please. The US knows all about your dirty little secrets! As a matter of fact... the entire reason that the United States began spying on the Bahamas is because your PLP government embraced the drug culture in the 1980s under Lynden Pindling and the PLP!! And whenever a country's government is engaged in the practice of drug trafficking, then that country's credibility amongst respectable nations is destroyed. Therefore, the US does not respect the Bahamas; the US will continue spying on the Bahamas, and the US will not give any answers to the Bahamas. And there's nothing you can do about it.

@Publius. Brandville has no proof because no one, including those responsible, have been forthcoming with any truth!!!! That's the entire problem!!!! The only persons who've mention anything remotely close to this issue has been Leslie Miller and PBD!!! And even both of them failed to address the heart of the matter as it relates to Mr Wells!! As Brandville has stated, PCG complete silence on this matter has left the door open for much conjecture and speculation!!! It's easy to commit an infraction; refuse to give any information regarding the infraction; and then tell oppositional parties that their claims regarding the infraction has no proof or validity!!!! The reason that Brandville McCartney and the Bahamian public have no proof as to what really transpired, is because PGC as usual, refuses to be forthcoming with any truthful information on the matter!!!! This is classic PLP bull-shit!!! And then to make matters even worst, he's attempting to insult the intelligence of sensible Bahamians by telling us the he's launching an investigation into the matter!!! The truth is.... all Perry Christie is doing is attempting to buy time, hoping that eventually the Bahamian people will forget about the issue and allow him and his government to continue with more of their incompetent, unaccountable, bungling governance!!!!

Good insight. Good assessment. True observations. Great suggestions. But we have to look even deeper to get to the sub-dermal layer of the existing problem. The Bahamas Government... with all their faults, ineptitudes, failures, unaccountability, incompetence, disgraceful and dishonest track-record... are nothing more than an extension; a mirror image; an inverted reflexion of the hapless, lazy, dishonest practices of the Bahamian people!! The very same practices that defines the Bahamians people are the very same practices that have been incorporated into the operating procedures of the government. Every single Bahamian living in this country for the past 40 plus years, knows about the scandal-ridden, excuse- spouting, corrupt practices of successive governments!! Especially the PLP government!! Yet every five years we sell our votes for political favors, and other acts of selfishness and badmindedness! Long story short...... the Bahamian people are reaping exactly what we've sown. When we the Bahamian people have changed, then our government and their standards will change!!! Until then.... much wailing and gnashing of teeth!

A government can't suggest, much-less, engage in the practice of selling illegal drugs.... no matter what the potential profits are. This would be the epitome of treachery. The very thought discredits every value; every principle; every creed; even the very foundation on which the State was built. This is the difference between respectable nations and a banana republic! If the Bahamas government wants to turn a monetary profit from the sale of illicit drugs such as marijuana and hashish, then they had better modify the laws to suit their purpose! Anything less is criminal! But remember... the sale of any type of psychedelic drug can only yield blood-money. And as the drugs are sold; lives are destroyed! More drugs can only yield more drug-addicts, more broken-homes, more broken-lives.... and this is the last thing our nation needs. To imagine that any government official can consider profiting from illegal drugs is a deceptive betrayal of the public trust! But apparently Perry Christie doesn't seem to see things this way; especially since he appointed a known drug-profiteer as his Deputy PM. I wonder if he realizes that if the PLP loses the next general election, he will be facing multiple extradition hearings. These Federal officers are working feverishly compiling a case against him. What are y'all talking about??? If and when drugs are sold in the Bahamas, then the drug traffickers and factions accosiated with their organizations are the ones who make a monetary profit from it. Factions including corrupt government officials, and also corrupt members of our National Security agencies. There are no proceeds!! Only victims!!!

Once again..... we are faced with the stark reality of Bahamian incompetence. In over 40 years both FNM and PLP have failed to produce efficient, effective energy solutions. Failure after failure after failure.....regression after regression after regression..... lie after lie after lie.

And as our brightest minds continue leave our country for other parts of the world, a huge void is left in their wake. Our country is a leaderless, rudderless, powerless, ineffective melting-pot of incompetence and ineptitude. We have failed Bahamas. Our governments have failed.... and we the people have failed.
