Agreed! While the cost of living continues to increase and the government has done very little to create jobs, the Bahamian people have also contributed to the poverty plight with their own personal ineptitudes. Lack of skills; lack of education; and having children you can’t afford all contributes to poverty. Both the government and the people of the Bahamas are to blame for our heightened poverty level.
That’s what I’m saying! Brave Davis mussie tink people fool! He knows first hand that PMH is a dump! After all, he helped get it there! Brave Davis knew that the PMH was a hovel! That’s why he jumped on a private medivac jet and high-tailed it to the U.S. when he got COVID. Stop playing games bey, Brave! Wit ya porky head!
Wait a second now! How come y’all wasn’t saying this when the FNM was in power???? Just a few weeks ago when the unions were complaining all of you took their side and was blaming the government! Now that the PLP is in power, yall are castigating the unions???? Hmmm 🤔
I have often criticized the parents of many of these children too. Sometimes it seems as though Bahamian parents expect the government to be responsible for their children. However, the pandemic brought many legitimate concerns and challenges for parents and students alike. In many cases teachers were hard to reach when parents and students had questions. And often times teachers were overwhelmed as well. Sometimes the online system never worked and days were wasted with hour long buffering issues. In some cases students were not able to log on at all. It will be interesting to see how the PLP addresses these issues.
Jesus, keep me near the cross!!!! Smh! Dr Sands!!! What part of “get lost” don’t you understand!?!?!? Your unwillingness to listen to the Bahamian people is exactly what got you voted out to begin with!!! And yet here you are once again turning a deaf ear to their requests!!! Accept it!!! the people don’t want you!!!! get lost!!! Go and enjoy your golden years with your wife, children, and grandchildren!!!
Christie shouldn’t be surprised that there was a drop in voter participation. First of all, petty Hubert Minnis called a snap election in the midst of a global pandemic when the electorate was least expecting it. Secondly, and more importantly, people have lost confidence in the FNM and PLP. It’s obvious that both parties are detached from the wishes of the Bahamian people. Can you imagine??? Forty plus years of independence; billions of dollars borrowed and spent; yet no new hospital or hurricane shelter has been built???
