It’s news because people need time to register. And given the current situation as it relates to emergency orders and social distancing, this can pose a chaotic problem. Not to mention the fact that some voters don’t have the ability to prove their place of residence.

Yes, but he is no longer the Minister of Health so it’s not his responsibility. Furthermore…. COVID-19 deaths and infections are increasing here in the Bahamas because people are refusing to get vaccinated. Instead, they are giving credibility to silly rumors and conspiracy theories that spread mistrust and misinformation. Scientific data continues to support the theory that vaccinations help to reduce the spread of the virus while decreasing mortality rates. While it may not provide 100% immunity from the virus and there have been some adverse effects and side effects, the COVID-19 vaccination has proven to be one of the most effective solutions we have to combat the virus. Bahamians need to stop being silly and get vaccinated.

I think you’re wrong, Topdude. This election will be much closer than you think. And the FNM may lose. While Brave Davis is undoubtably an incompetent leader, he makes a valid claim. Voters who have been displaced by hurricane Dorian need ample time to validate which constituency they will vote in. This issue should be addressed and remedied before elections are called. The last thing our country needs is a chaotic election.

Topdude….. you are waaay too confident. The FNM can easily lose this election. Dr. Minnis’s popularity among the electorate is at an all time low. People haven’t forgotten nor forgiven his past transgressions. Don’t underestimate how vindictive and spiteful Bahamian people are!

I don’t know about all of that. But Dr. Minnis is definitely the lesser of two evils. There is no way in heaven that we can put Brave Davis in office as PM. He is simply beyond incompetent not to mention his history of corruption and scandal ridden associates. But if Brave Davis were to step away from frontline politics and allow Chester Cooper to lead, the FNM would lose the upcoming general elections. You can bank on that!

Well I can’t blame the UK or the Bahamas Government…… I actually blame the Bahamian people who refuse to be vaccinated. Studies have shown that despite some adverse effects, the covid19 vaccination has proven helpful in reducing incidence rates around the world. Yet, Bahamians continue to cling to conspiracy theories and hyperbole when it comes to getting vaccinated.

I must admit that there is a perception of hypocrisy by Dr. Minnis. Conveniently lifting COVID19 restrictions right in time for elections??? Not all people are stupid Dr. Minnis. These type of actions aggravate a lot of people and cause them to vote against you. Remember….. Bahamian people vote out of spite rather than common sense! Word to the wise Dr. Minnis.

Corruption reigns supreme in the Bahamas! I have no doubt that Immigration officers here in the Bahamas are an integral part of the human trafficking ring operating in this region.
