Lol lol lol. Man listen......... the Bahamas is comical at best.
I know that these issues are quite serious and dont warrant a comedic response. But honestly....... I have to laugh, or I'll cry........ seriously.
Our very lives including our loved ones and our country is on the line..... yet here we sit leaderless, rudderless, clueless, behind Perry Christie and the PLP. Ohh God, this man is hapless and worthless to say the least. PGC has to go down as the worst PM ever in the history of the Bahamas.
What's really going on is that FNM is simply playing politics. Notice that they have yet to table any solutions to our most pressing issues. This is simply because they have no practical solutions.
Their main objective has nothing to do with improving the quality of life for everyday Bahamians. Instead, their only concern is to win the government. And the best way to go about doing this is to concentrate all their efforts on undermining and destroying the public impression of the PLP.
Notice how the FNM and PLP do nothing more that point the finger back and forth while nothing of substance is ever accomplished? Yet all of them live in the nicest of beachfront homes, and reap the best of what the country has to offer. These tactics are typical, outdated strategies used in the political arena to deceive the electorate and propel the party that uses them most effectively into office. For a better understanding, all Bahamians need to read the book "The Art of War."
Members of the Crisis Center need not engage Leslie Miller with a rebuttal.
This man talks completely out of his hip-hole all in an effort to remain relevant. His criticism is the direct result of a pre-existing personal vendetta he hold against the Crisis Center because they publicly rebuked him for the senseless and despicable comments he made in the HOA regarding domestic abuse. What they need to understand is that "senseless" and "despicable" is what Leslie Miller and the PLP do best.
What the Crisis Center should have reported was that they are refusing to dignify any comments, made by Leslie Miller, with a response.
I remember my grandfather always used to tell me that if I argued with a fool, people walking by would only see two fools arguing.
Everything and everywhere (including quality of life) is beautiful when you have money, Mr. Hill.
It's nice that you have the financial flexibility to enjoy the luxury and perks that our islands have to offer. However, your assessment of the Bahamas is subjective and not grounded in reality.
Every time that I read the Tribune, I can only laugh at the masses of stupid Bahamians who are now reaping the rotten fruits of seeds sown.
Perry Christie and his PLP degenerates tricked the Bahamian public into actually believing that he had their best interest at heart. "A Bahamas, for Bahamians," was his campaign promise. And now..... Bahamians are once again second class citizens in their own country.
Serves y'all right, Bahamians!! Too many of y'all are too damn stupid!!! Yinna gettin just what ya vote for!
What an embarrassing state of affairs the Bahamas is! This is a black-eye for our nation! And while our number one industry goes to the dogs, Perry Christies number one way of dealing with our problems is to simply ignore them and pretend as though they do not exist.
I used to think the same thing, but that's not true.
Don't get me wrong.... the FNM has made some bad choices as it relates to our country. But they've also conducted major projects that have benefitted the Bahamian people. The FNM brought in Atlantis; the FNM dredged the harbor so that major cruise liners can dock in nassau; the FNM conducted a facelift downtown many years ago; the FNM built new roads; the FNM renovated the airport; they initiated the building of the national stadium; the FNM put electricity on many of the out islands the previously didn't have it; the FNM has conducted many infatructural projects within the Bahamas. I bet my bottom dollar that if the FNM were in power, Bahamar would have been fully operational. HAI isn't a personable character. But the man knows how to conduct business.
What major projects can the PLP hang their hats on and say that they've completed???? Not a damn one!
The FNM's problem was that they neglected the immediate concerns of the people. When the economy took a down turn, Hubert Ingraham seemed careless about the plight of the Bahamian people. In spite of this, the real reason that the Bahamian public voted the FNM out of office was because HAI sold BTC.
But the truth is.... BTC needed to be sold. They were the most expensive telecommunications company in the western world, yet they offered the worst service. And ironically, nothing has changed.
The FNM was not and is not the ideal government. But they're sure as hell better than the PLP.
I hope Bahamians are realizing how stupid they've been for voting the PLP into office.
I thought that the FNM was bad, but this Christie led government has defiantly taken the cake. What a colossal failure they are. Three and a half years of failed promises, and nothing that they've put their hands to has materialized. Everything that they touch goes to shit.
I respect the above mentioned posts. But the truth is..... the problems far out weigh the benefits as it relates to the legalization of marijuana.
From a medical perspective...... all cannabinoids are considered drugs. And drug distribution must be heavily regulated and controlled. Contrary to popular belief, marijuana is not a harmless drug. Any drug that has the ability to alter your perception, inhibit your judgement, dull your senses and decrease your level of consciousness, needs to be taken seriously.
And while marijuana may have medicinal applications....... it would only serve as a distructive component within the Bahamian public domain if it were legalized.
Alcohol (ethanol) has medical properties too. But it does more damage than good.
